i cant use windowed mode, it wont let me, telling my system does not support it.

ive got a pretty new laptop, its got like a wide screen. ive tried on all possible screen resolutions and it still wont work.

is it a problem with the skin> i am using just the normal si one

How do you go about forcing it into windowed mode? Put "-windowed" at the end of the shortcut target, so it looks like:

"C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\fm.exe" -windowed

(or wherever you installed FM)

If it can't force it that way, then I'm not sure about it. What graphics chipset are you using in the laptop?

are you using the latest video card driver? Also, tho im sure you know that already, you need to have a res higher than 1024x768

Doesn't the "small_screen" command still work Dave?

I needed both of them on my laptop.

"C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\fm.exe" -small_screen -windowed

small_screen & windowed were both needed in the target for the shortcut.
