Sign up will be open for two weeks. There's a minimum of 16 participants, maximum is 30. Deadline may be extended within reason if the minimum amount isn’t met.

When the maximum is reached, any further players will be added as 'reserves', they will get a lower CA/PA.

Notes to the signup form:

- Selecting a second nationality, or more even, is advisable when you're non-EU. Not necessary, though.

- Nickname, place of birth, spoken languages, and squad number are all optional – if two people pick the same squad number I’ll give priority to player with higher PA.

- CA/PA and final attribute values will be changed according to selections and forum presence (quality > quantity, but quantity isn't disregarded). No statement will be made about how this is exactly done. I’ll consult the forum old boys (ie Ruud, Alex and Tom) on this matter if that’s alright with them.

- Any discrepancies with the rules stated above will be adjusted by me without notice. If you want a change made, PM me.

I don't know what the problem is, you only get to pick 12 attributes that you are somewhat good at (unless I completely misunderstood the form). Not sure why anyone would take "dirtiness" ahead of "technique", "finishing", or "tackling" depending on position.

i think the issue was that having Dirtyness as a "weakness" could possibly be a positive, as it means they player is dirtier.

That's not QUITE fair, since I live in the United States and the game has never been sold over here. I found it at probably 15 while perusing teh internets, there really was no possible way I could have learned of CM before that.

I found the game around the same time as Nim, but tbh, I never really got 97/98 to function on the computer that I had at the time (P166, 2 gig hard drive, 16 or 32 megs of ram, Windows 95 OS). Then again, trying to get any DOS-based application to work on that machine was a major pain in the ass, and I eventually gave up on it and waited for CM3.

99/00 and 00/01 did me in. I still re-install 01/02 every now and then. You know, because all three of those games were essentially the exact same with a roster update.

i talked to Daz about us giving you guys the opportunity to change the positions if you like, so if we do give you that chance you'll know..

the thing is, when applying, everyone filled in the stats in order to work best on the position they asked for, so changing the position would mean changing the stats....

also you can obviously train your players to a certain position in-game, so...
