Just played a match where my two strikers missed chance after chance and I eventually lost to a team bottom of the table. :|

I noticed my strikers are just unable to convert the most easiest of chances, one on one with the keeper. It's really frustrating, my team are able to score on every other way(crosses, rebounds, corners etc.) but just tapping it nice and simple past the keeper seems to be the hardest thing to do. That while my strikers shouldn't have a problem when you look at their stats with high finishing, pace, compusure, determination etc. But the keeper always blocks their shots and I'm really pissed off about this.

I remember in the CM 03/04 we had the infamous shooting bug, but this seems to be diffrent as I often do manage to score but not from one-on-one chances.

exactly, i hope they fix it with 8.0.2, but SI need to ******* realize it's a bug first...your strikers with 19 finishing and 20 composure can't put it past the keeper when they are completely alone, but the opponent strikers with 13 finishing and 8 composure coolly put it in the top corner every chance...

Just play "text only" you guys. It seems to fix all of these problems. Not nearly as exciting, but at least your players score.

Well, the bug is not missing one on ones, but lame defending, leading to way too many chances created, many of them one on ones. SI then got a workaround to avoid you scoring 5 goals per match by having a super keeper...

As Nim mentioned though, having it set to text only seems to solve the problem (or at least hide it since you won't see the guy shooting it straight at the goalie..)

well but damn it i don't want to go back to the pre-CM4 times man...why is there a difference between watching the game and only watching the commentary?..

If it is a bug, I want the damn thing to be fixed, cause it's really annoying.

I get the same problem on text only. Score from all sorts but my strikers miss an enitirely unrealistic number of one-on-ones.

probably a stupid effort by SI to keep SC scoring numbers realistic. (because the game has about 1 billion more it should 1on1s per season for each team)

Yeah I think the game became too easy to get good tactics..and to balance scorelines SI made it bloody hard to score...The scorelines are realistic, but the rest of the stats arent!

And text only doesn't fix. It's still the same match engine. The only way to fix is by simulating every game...The simulate engine works fine :p
