I think all FIFA gamers have dreamt a thing like this at least one time: to play career/manager mode with normal graphic in league and national cup matches and to play Champions League matches with Champions League graphics like champions ball, popups, adboards and so on. This, thanks to Krystian82 and his program, is not a dream no more.
I have tried the very very beta of the program and the program works perfectly. It simply makes some operations (a backup of your zdata only the first time you run the program) then it asks for a career file that you will run later. It check if you are in Champions League in your career, then he makes some few operations (very fast), then he makes you run FIFA normally. FIFA will start with the normal things with only your modifications. But when you come to play the career chosen if you play a league match you play it normally, but if the next match is a UCL match and you save the career (you have to save so that the program can view that you have played the match and now you have to play a Champions match) then, in the Champions League match, you will have a new turf, a new ball,new adboards and so one. Only at the end of the match, when you save another time the career, the program restore your files and you can continue playing the league match until the next UCL match.
I ensure you that it's more difficult to explain that to see with your eyes. At the end you have only to run FIFA from this program and to save after every match. If you don't save the program does not work and you will have the normal graphics with no problems at all.
The fantastic thing is that the program perfectly integrates with every graphic file you have with no problem and with no overwriting.
And here you are some screens that surely are not so evocative, but are made in the same career and without exiting FIFA 08.

All this can be done with all graphic files, also kits, logos, flags and the program will be ready to welcome your UCL files.
As you can see from screens we need an help with graphic files such as turf, popups and all generic files (not of teams) that are different from league to Champions. Maybe you can even tell us about something different that we did not remember to put in it.
I personally think that editers like Rinaldo, Krystian, Monkeydragon and others have contribute to make FIFA 08 the best edited FIFA forever :D

And you think people only stick to Fifa because it's hard to edit PES? Please...I used to play PES until I tried Fifa 08 and got addicted to it. I don't see what PES has to do with editing Fifa at all.

So there's no Champion's League game for EA. Big deal. Where's the Champion's League game from konami? Does that mean PES players will start playing fifa now?

I'm just saying that what's being sugested is way too much work just to get a different ball and different addboards and a different turf once in a while.

Heck, we can even use CM08 to change all that before a champs league game, including the kits withe the cham league logos, play it and than replace everything again. Replacing existing textures doesn't affect your carrer in anyway. But what's the point????

And if you look at sales, Fifa has basically killed PES this year. Infact, Fifa has outsold PES everytime if you look at worldwide sales.

Believe me, Fifa will be just fine without this patch you talk about.

Maybe man you have not taken the concept of what this patch is and please don't come telling me the differences between the two games because I know quite good it.
What you says about changing things with CM is true, but how many times would you make this process (play a match, change things with CM, play CL match, rechange thing with CM, play league match,...) before getting bored about it? I think that if you are able to do this for 5 UCL matches it's even more that I could thought. The program gives you the opportunity to change the things without exiting FIFA at all and without any boring hand-editing. And it makes with all matches of UCL or league: you have only to save after a match, but I think everyone when play a manager mode save after every match especially if he edits it and knows very well that a crash could always come due to some patch.
Some more:
1) When Rinaldo will come with his "Fly-On Master" that it's very similar to this patch, I challenge you to tell him that it's not worthy at all. You won't because HE is Rinaldo.
2) There are plenty of patches for FIFA that are useless or maybe not worthy for you, but people keep on using them. So if you have to post such a comment, please the next time don't post at all.
3) I told you not to complain if editers go away from FIFA editing not because PES is better (I have never bought any PES in my life) or easier to patch, but because men like you think that patch like this are unworthy and other men that think only Rinaldo can make good programs.
4) Fifa is fine without any patch or it would not be sold at all for consolles.
Don't tell me such obvious things please: maybe you think that I'm a stupid or a newbie, but I'm in FIFA editing since 2002 so I know how things work. and you will maybe understand that we made (also Krystian worked here) something was never made for FIFA 07 before... and was very successfull, even EA SPORTS congratulated us.

I edited players model and I simply edited a type of socks making them reach and join the shorts. Obviously then I have given those socks (chosen with the value about thin legs, etc) in db only for the goalkeeper.

I remember all that this patch is generic for every team that play in Champions League. Even if you are in the UCL at the 4th year of career with your lower league team. So you can provide us as much logos as possible.
The same is for kits and other specific teams stuff.

Not exactly. It will add the UCL graphics if YOUR career has Champions League ;) So the UCL has to be already present in the career. If you want to have Champions the first year just use the other program by Krystian: Calendar Evolution 08 ;)

Thanks. I have a news for you: we are not ready to publish the patch yet but we have enhanced the possibility of the program. Now, if in the Champions folder that the program read, you don't provide any new Champions kit, the program takes the kit from zdatas, put UCL badges on it and show the kit in UCL game. Then, when you play in league or national cup the badge does not appear no more :)

Very soon. Sincerely Krystian was not working at the project no more because of the poor feedbacks from you. However I have convinced him to finish his work. It will be more like a Champions utility than patch. We will provide only few graphics, but you can add the rest in the program folder to use them for Champions League.

The video has been made in few time because I'm in uni exam period, but I think you can easily understand all it's shown. Of course, if we continue the match vs Celtic and, at the end, we save the career, the program restore all our graphic files for Serie A Match. Then when another Champions League match has to be played, if we save before playing it, we will have the new UCL staff again ;)
Another precisation: all UCL graphics you see here can be easily substituted or edited before using the tool or integrated, so that if for example you don't like the turf, you can change it ;)

Beta means it still needs to be playtested and is not the final version. The beta version may still contain bugs and developpers are correcting them with feedback from users before releasing the final version.

About Steaua we put only the zip with kits in the addon folder. Unfortunately we can't know which ID one has put to the team in his db given that steaua is not in the original db :(

No, the patch ask you which career to use... And it does not change everything of your tournament. It just change graphics, not your CL tournament ;)

Please MD fix it. To see the scoreboard properly make the game don't show team names. However that small blue piece in the left side will still be here so please MD fix that ;)

Man, if there are no kits made by kitmaker in the addon folder, the patch uses your kits and put UCL badges on them. If you see original Chelsea kits it's because you have only that kits in your FIFA 08. So download and install Chelsea kits you want in your FIFA (with CM or whatever you want). Then run the patch, check "force cdata rewriting" and click on "start patch". Then untick "use kits from last time". This time the tool will use your new Chelsea kits and will put badges on that kit. Enjoy (H)

If you find instead also Chelsea Champions League kit version, just add the fsh with the "add files" button ;)

I don't think there will be other release of this tool/patch but everything depends on the success of this one ;)
However I know the menu you want to show us: for the way the patch is made for the moment a different menu would not have been so realistic.

If you have a patch with Steaua you use Calendar Evo to add Ucl from the 1st season and select Steaua but the IDs must match

Hey Outsider, this tool is gorgeous!! BTW, I wonder if you could do something similar for the UEFA Cup, the European Supercup and the World Club Champions Cup (i.e.: change the ball, TV graphics, etc.). It would be nice if the program could be "open", and have many subfolders named after the Tournament ID so anyone can save inside them the proper kits, graphics, balls, etc. This tool is extremely cool, but if it can be evolved including UEFA Cup, European Supercup, WCC Cup would be the best tool ever made!!!

Yeh if ths could be done at least aesthetically for other competitions that'd be great.

Ah as a secondary question: Can you have the possibility of more than one competition, like say having UCL and Copa Libertadores?

1) The .o file is not bad, it's the .o file of the ball by FontMaker... If you mean that the ball looks like only white with far camera it's normal, because this year the ball is not so dark-coloured.
2) Yes, the only way to make armbands work is to import manually the UCL kits with the "add" button! Sincerely I don't think that a small armband red and green for some matches is so much a problem. This could seem a contradiction given that I have invented that patch for armbands, but I didn't want to ask kry surplus work only for an armband. The work around this program is already very high all the same ;)
For the music intro, it starts with the popups, so it can't be anticipated. However also in UCL game the song continued to play if you click instead of waiting for popups, so I can't see why here can be so much a problem. What's the problem? The problem is that you can't hear well the commentators during the song? What a pity!
Fortunately I persuaded Krystian not to put song also after the first half or at the end of the match or I imagine the problems for you that you could not going on with the match or career because you had to wait for the end of the hymn.
