the mot ironic thing out of it is that I played FIFA 2001 for.... if to add, it would sum up to just 20 minutes.. I downloaded the game on warez in late-December, played just a couple of games, and erased it from my hard drive. One of the worst FIFA's ever....


we tied the Yugos today, 1:1, btw.... If we would win, we'd already be in Korea/Japan.. ARRR. I see the Finns wininng 2:0, 65 minutes gone. Wait to see Jari come to brag here :D anyway, good luck to all.

Great to see you back! I want Russia to win all its games except against Switzerland you're already so close to qualifying and I don't want Slovenia or Yugoslavia to catch up to Switzerland!

We were lucky to beat Faroe Islands. Only 1-0 this time, courtesy of Alexander Frei. He's scored a lot of goals in WCQ. Who the hell is this guy? Anyone know where I can find squads from that match?

Welcome back RR, we've been missing you for about 6 months! By the way, how far into the future have you played CM 00/01. I remember that you were the person with the longest game of CM 99/00 I ever met. My best is into the 2004/2005 season with (I'm sure you'll love this) Liverpool, a big EPL team, where winning is easy. I took 3 out of 4 EPL Titles, but never did much in Europe :(

I hadn't played CM much lately.. I did play in November-January, and got to the year of 2018 with Russia's Luch Vladivostok (go figure). Though first couple of seasons in Russian Premiership with Luch I went back and resimulated games, somewhere in 2015 I didn't have to as I was winning everything.
And of course, I had a lot of fun with the game... Like illegally helping other clubs with "add manager" option, etc... The game is awesome, btw, let me see if I have some pictures/screenshots. In the year of 2018 the game froze, btw :(.

I think that the only way to go that far is to pick the crappiest team in the universe. Something like Ireland 3rd division to CL Glory. In my Liverpool game I haven't succeeded in Europe and still got a little bored. I have the save game file, but I just don't play that game anymore.

I'm awful at CM! Currently I'm at Hartlepool and I think that I might actually be promoted this time...

I just signed 25 or so players on free transfers and they're delivering.

I don't have a knack for finding **** players who will come cheap, but perform well. If I'm at a bigger club with some cash, I can find all kinds of talent, but at a **** club, most recently Regensburg, I just can't find the players needed to succeed on a transfer budget of 26k.

Nimreitz: that is why there is a thing called "free transfer market". I noticed a bug in 99/00 a long time ago that if a REALLY good player is clubless, and wants a wage of, say, 210,000 per year, you have to wait about 5 months and there is a chance (a big one) that the player will not be offered by ANY club, so his demands will go as high as a mediocre conference club can offer (usually, it's not higher than 30,000 per year). So by that I could sign a lot of players... the bug still exists in 00/01, but the chance of the player not to be offered a contract for 5 months is relatively lower.

thinking about starting to play again. English league is definately the optimal league to play in... As much as I love how the russian league is done (pretty good, expected worse).

Yes, but the sad thing is that my Regensburg club sucks real bad, and all of the players are on Non-promotion release clauses. I don't really have much of a chance.
