I received my PES2008 on PS3 Yesterday by mail and I have to say, that its s**t....Now I dont blame all the people that said it was bad in most soccer games forums....and just because of that, it made FIFA08 look great and now I enjoy it more than before, and am gonna stick to FIFA

well am talking about the PS3 version....its not what I expect it

bad graphics

editing mode is horrible

game play is bad, i dont know what they did this year

master league meu is cheesy

PES is more realistic, but unenjoyable and boring.

pes engine is more "tame"
* gameplay is good
* you have more time and space and the ai isn't crazy

fifa engine is more "wild"
* gameplay is really good (you can do more things and better)
* the pace is too fast, the ai is crazy especially on highest difficulty

In online play pes 2008 is a real let down.... you make a great tackle but it takes years for your player to get up and take the ball. Meanwhile your opponent from further back gets to the ball first.

Also its impossible to pick your favourite team and win against a half decent player using Barca or Inter.

You try to take the ball off Adriano and fail every time and every shot he hits seems destined for the net.

Online play with FIFA is far superior then what it is with Pro Evo. I was a massive Pro Evo fan and I wouldn't touch FIFA, and now it's the other way round. :)

PES has been a let down online for years due to the lag issue, it's been there since PES5 but Nokami still haven't worked it out. I just wish they'd bring back the direct IP mode from PES4 as an alternative option. But I doubt it'd ever happen, Nokami seem to be taking too much important stuff out from previous PES games lately.

well after having spent some time with a very disappointing PES2008 and then having played EURO 2008, I can't keep pretending that PES is still the better game. PES was the best, but the game just hasn't evolved and is clearly showing it's age, everything about it feels very "2003" still and it just can't compete in a next-gen enviornment.

I think it's time that Konami take a few of the core elements that made PES great over the years and start fresh with everything else.

Same thing has happened to me. Played the new Pro Evo and it was awful. Now I play Fifa and it is great.

Oh man, this game is pretty sweet. Why can't more games have cutscenes that you want to see more of?
