Ok, never has anything on FM pissed me off more than this. I'm Tottenham, i'm doing very well, i have loads of money and i'm in the Champions League and challenging for the title.

I'm getting fed up of every season, having to replace the players Daniel Levy chooses to accept bids for. Aaron Lennon, Ledley King, Michael Dawson, Pablo Aimar (who i signed a season before), Dimitar Berbatov, Jaime O'Hara. All of these players have had bids of around £18m over the past three years accepted for them.

It's SO (and i mean SO) unrealistic, that a club with CL aspirations would just be a selling club, i'm honestly fuming at this, since whenever, WHENEVER i get a successful player he's just sold by Levy whenever the first offer comes in. I've even resorted to going into FMM and changing his interference to "1" and to "20" as i don't know what is better, but no, he keeps doing it either way when i reload the game. Honestly, i'm so bloody tempted to go add a new manager to Lazio (the club that has now bidded and been accepted for Da Costa who, ironically, i signed to replace King) and just cancel the transfer.

This is the single most annoying thing that has ever happened to me in 10 years of Champ.

I'm so pissed off. Just let me play the frigging game.

I thought the 8.0.2 patch had this on the fix list, right?

guess this guys got a pretty low number in the skills that affect this bid accepting thing

Aha, havent installed 8.0.2 yet Theo, thanks. Doubt it'll help though, Rotherham could put in a bid of £50k for Paul Robinson and he'd likely accept it.

hahaha this happened to me at United once.

btw tom, after installing 8.0.2 my teams finances went from +1mil per month to -3 (sometimes even 4) mil per month. Just keep an eye open (and keep a 801 backup save just in case). If i hadnt quit the game id be bankrupt within a year.

have you won any title with Spurs yet?...winning silverware could make him up the standards..

Its worse than having technical directors buy players for you, which I think is a great suggestion for FM 09.

wait, that happens already...at least on FM07 in clubs like chelsea for instance, like abramovic would buy players all by himself....or did you know this?

It would be nice though, if the TD would become more than a name.
Maybe from time to time he could suggest what players to buy etc.

^^agreed, and it wouldn't be too hard since it's the same thing that AI managers do when buying players....the TD would analyze the squad and give you a suggestion :D
