I've got some time on my hands and I feel like starting a nice new game with FM. Anyone got any suggestions on what team I should choose? :)

usually i go for an at least above average 2nd division team.. Kinda gives me time to build a new young team, as usual :p

Chelsea F.C are pretty good. :(

Well it can be anything really. Maybe not the absolute top cause I've experienced that's a little too easy.

well then there are lots of teams you can chose really..

England: Tottenham, Man City, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth..

Spain: Atl. Madrid, Zaragoza, Sevilla

Italy: Fiorentina, Palermo,..

Portugal: benfica(6), sporting (6)

France: Marseille, Lens, PSG

i've had a pretty decent game with Everton going (Y)

mine with bologna was better :p

If you want an absolute challenge with zilch knowledge of players, try the S.League. Otherwise, I'd recommend Bordeaux, Wigan, Real Betis or Catania.

meh, i want to start another one too...

in my game i started with Middlesbrough(well, Everton, but got fired pretty quickly :p)...took them to 3rd place in the EPL, then to Milan, won all i could, then to Chelsea, won all i could..then to Sevilla, brought them from bankruptcy to the champions league, and then to Inter, that's when i started not caring for the save game much...

then i started a new save game, this time with the 8.0.2, with Bayern...but that didn't do it...maybe i need that challenge that is starting from the bottom and have success...

I never had a nomadic career as yours. I feel the itch to start a new game but I'm waiting for the SG United patch. Right now, I'm reliving Power Rangers In Space :$

Rennes (a good core there with Briand, Mensah & Didot but little money to spend)
QPR (have a crap team but bundles of money in the 8.0.2 patch)
Shaktar (again a lot of money but the team is pretty average and you'll struggle in Europe)
Torino (like Rennes have a good core and a star man in Rosina but little money to strengthen)
Getafe (you won't break into the CL places for a couple of seasons but they have Ustari who is god-like and the rest of the squad is pretty decent too)

Will have a think later for a few more suggestions.

They are teams i have had a good game with and quite challanging.

I'm sorry but how is Man City a challenge? You start off with the likes of Richards, Johnson, Elano & Corluka, plus have Thaksin's millions...a title challenge is realistic in the first season!
