View Full Version : Soccer Writers - Anyone intersted?
Hello everybody,
I run a website and I'm looking for some soccer fans who might be interested in writing some articles about the beautiful game.
Would anyone be interested in being an editor by any chance? :mrpimp:
Spider-Man84 07-03-2008, 07:31:AM Editor? or Writer? I would definately be willing to contribute some articles, mostly on U.S. Soccer as that is what I follow mostly, especially the MNT.

I'm mainly looking for writers. Sorry for not making it clear in the initial post.
Articles about US soccer would be great. You can write about anything you feel is relevant and I'll get it posted ASAP.
You can PM me any articles or any questions you may have.
Thanks a bunch!(H)
eaztzyde, when you get some time, send me what you have written.
Also, you have something already written you can send that in as well.
I would like to give it a shot mate.
Thanks Lean! You can write about anything football related. Feel free to PM me any articles you have written, or to update me on what you might be planning to write about.
Ruben Sosa 09-03-2008, 06:35:AM Would you interested in South American related articles, particularly in regards to the Libertadores or the Uruguayan league? I should be able to manage a couple of articles, at least until I get a full time job.
Ruben Sosa, definitely. I'm sure there's plenty of people that would be interested in reading your articles. Please PM me how everything is going. When you have something written up, just PM it to me and I'll have it posted in no time.
yoyo913 10-03-2008, 12:26:AM I would write some articles, they would have to be on the evolution of football, football history (not necessarily accurate), and my views of football. Is that ok?
Hey Horatiu. Nice to hear from you again.
I'm actually very interested in the evolution of football, and the general history of the game. I wanted to create a special section on the website for the history of the game. If you can get it in, I'd upload it ASAP.
Hopeunited 10-03-2008, 03:07:AM What's the URL to your website, Coon?
Hi Coon, I am interested also. Do you accept articles about soccer from a business like point of view ? I really like to talk about the globalization of soccer, the brands and the marketing methods used for the beautiful game.
Sent you an PM, Coon. I'm interested on it because i do Journalism in Uni so it would be helpful for me. I write a lot but i dont have any saved material on this machine, you can take a look on some of my posts. Tell me if you're interested.

Sorry, but I might dissapoint you. I am not that knowledgeble in soccer history, my articles would be more of a satirical nature...
I'm starting a blog with them soon now that you inspired me to!
yoyo913 10-03-2008, 06:12:AM A little taste:
I was sitting at home watching football one day and I saw something stupid. Like, I don't mean McDonald's stupidity or car stupidity, I'm talking about something along the lines of Fernando Torres. You know? The sh*t that makes for a ridiculous image.
Well it all started with a soft but confident man's voice, in his 30s or 40s. He started talking about some very deep things. Like the feeling of doing something good, and the beauty that is life. While this was happening there were scenes of a young adult, tall, dark and mysterious, looking deep onto the field, which is usually a sea of green or a forest of grass as far as the eye can behold. By this time I started toning out of what the man's voice was saying, and you know... you see a couple more scenes rich in meaning, and often including very attractive people, you know, then you see some symbols, logos, and trademarks.
BUT, at the end of this there is a scene with two men standing on a field, holding each-other, nibbling on each-other's ears and whispering sweet nothings into them. One of them looked straight, the other, highly homosexual. Now I was slightly shocked by this scene. I started thinking about how I felt about it. I started thinking about how it would make others feel. I thought it was a little strange, but I have no problem with homosexuals. It was clear that this was trying to make gay people more acceptable. I then thought why is this trying to make gay people more acceptable? It then hit me. Boom. Football is trying to put things THEY want in MY head.
Screw football!
