View Full Version : I just saw the entire Wales team in my health club!!!!
I'm a member of this health club near me, and i was eating a sandwitch there, and who turns up? Gary Speed, Ryan Giggs, Simon Davies and Mark Pembrdge. I was so chuffed, don't worry, I'll have calmed down by tomorrow. i think :D :D :D
simonius 03-06-2001, 09:20:PM Cool! Did you go and talk to them?
Fifauk-Tom 03-06-2001, 09:20:PM was giggsy hiding his embarrassment at that amazing miss ?
dragan84 03-06-2001, 10:13:PM cool......did u talk to them?
kind of ironic you were eating a sandwich in a health club, was it a big fat greasy one!? :D :p
Nah, i would have, but my damng mum said that i wasn't allowed :(
No Dragan it wasn't a fat sandwitch. It was hporrible, i asked for cottage cheese and pinapple, but there was no pinapple. Rip off! :D
Team 17 03-06-2001, 10:42:PM you should have thrown your mum out of the window mate :D :D
i mean how often are ya gonna see some of the wales squad in yer local??

PhiLLer 03-06-2001, 11:06:PM I have to agree with Team17, throw yer mum outta the window :D
Mad Dogg 03-06-2001, 11:58:PM If I was there I'd call some of them morons and tell them to play for their country like they do for their club.
Some players like Giggs don't put in any effort at all when playing for Wales - I mean that miss goes to show Giggs can't be arsed when he's playing for his country (yet I bet if he was playing for United right then - he'd have buried it)...
FIFAManU-Tom -> if I'd have been Sparky when I saw Giggs miss that shot I would have substitutes then shot him.
Never mind - we'll get a draw in the Ukraine and win the next three to finish in a more "creditable" position.
CYMRU AM BYTH!
PhiLLer 03-06-2001, 11:59:PM Come to think of it, don't throw yer mum out of the window...she might break an arm and that would be a disaster, who's gonna cook? :D
That's why I keep telling everyone to get a decent girlfriend, you know, someone who can cook some nice stuff... :)
Waheee, I've gone off topic yet again
PhiLLer 04-06-2001, 12:03:AM I saw the wales match just a minute ago, wales should have beaten the Poles,Jerzey Dudek(the polish keeper) is one hell of a good keeper isn't he.
Giggs made some excellent runs and there was one run where he tried to score from the same angle as the great goal he scored vs Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final replay.
Unfortunately his effort flashed across the face of goal, he maybe should have pulled it back...
Northern Ireland lost yet again :( whilst the republic of Ireland pulled of another great result, 1-1 draw against Portugal!
Ronaldinho Gaucho 04-06-2001, 04:50:AM Cool mate....the closest i've gotten to a national team was when i went to watch a brazil practise at cancha comari in rio...in 1998 I think...it was awesome....i got a pic with rivaldo and cafu....plus autographs from a bunch of players...... :D :D
PhiLLer 04-06-2001, 05:56:AM The closest I came to a footballer was when David Beckham posed with me for a photo, schook hands with me and signed an autograph.
Oh and I also me George Best once :D

what magazine were you and David posing for? PlayBoy (or GayBoy?) :D :p
Sorry, i couldn't help myself ;) :D
PhiLLer 04-06-2001, 04:04:PM I can smell the jealousy right here, Dragan! :)
Fifauk-Tom 04-06-2001, 05:54:PM J.J -> I think you're being a bit harsh on giggsy. ok he missed a great chance but he was wale's best player. Obviously, He will look better for united as there are better foreign players around him.
I mean even Andy Cole looks good occassionally for United but we all know he's sh1te for england.

AY! don't talk about my mum like that. It's funny, but she's the one who earns enough for our Audi TT!
BTW its the hotel they always stay at, so i probably will see them again.
PhiLLer 04-06-2001, 11:20:PM And my mum is the one who earns the money for our brand-new second hand...er....bread! :p
Team 17 05-06-2001, 11:44:AM Beat this - i have 3 cars, they are all **** but that no the point :)
b.t.w. you should have thrown her out the window and then she could have said she did it at work and it would all have been like one of those stupid adverts where the ppl get loads-a-money :D :D

Silencer 05-06-2001, 12:24:PM It's nice to see players up close and talk to them even.
A few months ago I was in Amsterdam and I saw Kluivert in a pub there, turns out to be his favorite bar when he's in the country.
I asked him how he was doing and congratulated him with the goals he made for Barcelona the weekend before and he said laughing "thanx I'm doing great, how about yourself?" I didn't expect an answer like that, more like 'give me some privacy' or smth.
He gave me an autograph and all and asked me if I wanted to drink something and my mate as well. Now that's what I call 'staying normal' and not arrogant because he's a big star. He didn't stay long cause he was there visiting friends from his Ajax period.
I always thought that he was sympathetic but now i know he is :D :D
Team 17 05-06-2001, 04:08:PM are you sure it wasnt someone pulling yer leg? :D :D

Mad Dogg 05-06-2001, 11:19:PM Uuugh not that specky-four-eyed "look at me I am a wimp so twat me" mammy's boy again...
BTW Claims Direct adverts are **** like that chap...
"I use to love playing football but because I was so shïte I decided to fall off a ladder to look a right twat!"
Also never ever throw your mother out of the window, because if you want food in yer belly, ironing, washing and cleaning to do - then don't do it (cos u'd have to do it yerself).
Phil - I get first quality bread cos I nick it from work :D :D :D
I bet we'll lose to Ukraine then...
It would be Declan Swan all over again, T17! :D :D :D
PhiLLer 06-06-2001, 09:55:AM Phil - I get first quality bread cos I nick it from work
