View Full Version : Citizenship
cabbage1588 17-03-2008, 06:51:PM This has most likely been posted many many times so im sorry if its annoying but i have brought some players into my Southampton squad and they are originally from Isreal, Ivory Coast, Brazil and Jamaica but now they are all considering citizenship for certain European countries, the thing is i need these players badly so is there anyway to move their decision on or do i just have to wait?
Thanx
it says that they are considering it since they have passed the required period but it doesn't mean that they'll necessarily opt for it.
It can take ages, i think if they need to go up for a work permit and FAIL then they often opt to do the citizenship test, or at least they do in real life.
cabbage1588 26-03-2008, 06:31:PM so i may be waiting forever for the players to even think about having the citizenship might aswell sell the players then if it takes so long (:/)
thankyou anyway.
mrromaniac 27-03-2008, 03:57:PM You can use an editor to change a player's nationality or to add nationality. It's real time! I personally use FM Modifier 2.22. It's very good. You can do alot of things with it. But I use it ONLY for the nationality problem and to find player's potential ability!
Still, thats cheating.
You like it (limited) others don't
mrromaniac 28-03-2008, 09:51:AM I usually play in weak leagues in Europe and there is no chance I could win ECC with the squad that I have. Still, I don't modify the player's attributes and abilities.:jacko:
mrromaniac, you dont always have to win.
rpvankasteren 28-03-2008, 05:02:PM Everybody plays the way he wants to, and that's exactly the way it should be. Don't tell people what to do and what not to do.
I'm against cheating, so no Marxism gaming ideology comments/remarks/callitwhateveryoulike by Ruud are going to change that (H)
Filipower 29-03-2008, 02:29:AM heh, i'm also against cheating, but the dude can do whatever he wants, and no gigantic-boob-avatar from Alex is going to change that. :p
rpvankasteren 29-03-2008, 04:17:AM Nothing Marxist about cheating. It's the capitalist way of life, and totally anarchistic.
Yeah I woulda thought Ruuds comments were Anti-Marxist...Surely in a marxist FM society everyone would be on the same level pegging...In a liberal capitalist society, everyone would be free to do everything they way they please, for their own personal gain.. :)
ok, then im deeply sorry for hurting your anti-communist feelings (H)
mrromaniac 29-03-2008, 04:56:PM mrromaniac, you dont always have to win.
It's not about winning the ECC, but at least a good performance from my team. Anyway, it's frustrating when a very good team is dominating the game, and you don't have even 1 chance to score. And, I beleive that this problem has something 2 do with the team itself, because I played at Steaua from Romania, wich is a good club, I've bought Van der Vaart, Nigel de Jong, Johan Elmander and other good players, but still no scoring chance. And in Romanian championship my players are missing a lot and the lose in front of very weak teams... I hope that those SI Games members fix this problems in the next FM games.
it seems you should also work on improving your tactics for 09 as well :p
:(

To me that sounds like a tactics problem..If you have good players, but aren't scoring, then who else can be blamed? That ISN'T the game...
And if that is the issue, then what point does bring more good players into your team (or giving them citizenship so that they can play for you)...If you already have good players, then maybe you need to learn to get them to play well, rather than buying MORE good players..
