Will FIFA 2001 run under Windows 2000? What is EA's official position on Windows 2000 support on FIFA 2001?

I HIGHLY DOUBT it will work under win 2000. It's not EA's fault nor is it MIcrosoft's fault that Fifa 2001 does not work on Windows 2000, if you had some more kowledge of compuetrs and software in general you would understand why it does not work

let me clear this for you. fifa has directX 7 and windows 98 suports directX 7 and windows ME(windows 2000) also suports that, but windows 2000 NT does not support directX 7, so if you have windows 2000 NT, fifa 2001 will not work, but it will work on windows ME(windows 2000).

YES, Windows 2000 (no NT on the end) does support DirectX 7. It ships with it and in the service pack Microsoft released they fixed a bug in it! Microsoft are also releasing DirectX 8 for windows 2000 also. BTW this info is correct - I'm a MCSE.

Wrong on Windows 2000 Pro (NT 5.0) not supporting DirectX 7.0a. It ships with DirectX 7.0a and will run DX 7.0a games. Windows Me is essentially a more stable version of Windows 98.

Windows ME (Windows Millenium)

Windows ME DOES NOT mean Windows 2000.

you mean windows 2000 NT or windows ME?

because fifa 2001 will work with windows ME but it will defenetly won't work with Windows NT. i am playing fifa 2000 on windows ME. and i don't have any problems.
