Well deserved victory by Croatia. Schweinsteiger acted like it was the first time he got tackled. Odonkor was absolutely useless, hardly got past Pranjic even once.

wow....Croatia took it to the Germans and well what can you say? special mention to Rakitic, and Srna again, of great performance, and Luka Modric came alive towards the end...great goal by Podolski...and wow the group just got interesting now I am definetly watching the next game

side note, i really liked how joachim low adjusted to the game tactically. if not perfect decisions. the players in the middle of the park and defence just didn't respond. besides the fluke 2nd croatia got, he got germany into position to get back into the game.

I guess we can still get through the group, but boy will we get our arses handed in a silver platter by the Lusitans. Although we beat them in 2006 so i am not that pesimistic. On paper they should be able to beat us though.

Slaven Bilic's prestige just became huge if it wasn't already.
They pass the ball brilliantly (15 passes before the first goal) and look like they have possibly the best team chemistry in the tournament.

They're now serious contenders in my mind.

Funny ****, i had the exact same thing happen. And i was going with Portugal until like the very last minute before submitting and deciding to go with Germany instead. Good news is that if Germany was to lose 1 game in this EUROs this was the best one to lose. Maybe the one against Austria would have been better, but this still not so bad.

You have to admit, that the croatians did a very well job. Early and consequent pressing forced our team into many errors. But true is also, not one reached remotely his limits, except maybe Lahm, who was playing on a normal level. And its no secret anways, that we have problems with an large 5- midfield-tactic like croatia used it.
Strange....but the first 5 minutes in germany games always indicate how the whole game will go. And i have to tell you, i had a bad feeling after 5 minutes.
But im sure, we will go to the quarterfinals, cause were gonna be able to beat austria, if our team plays at 80% of their ability. Otherwise, we wouldnt deserve it anyways.


P.S.: croatia played a very good game...they played like us:) But i doubt, theyre able to repeat this performance.

i always like that state of mind. no matter how good you are on paper, or how in form players are for their respective clubs, you should go through based on your play and whether you deserve it or not, not because of a favorable result in other games. play like you want it, not like it's given to you.
