Were YOU frustrated with referee decisions and superhuman CPU teams on World Class level in FIFA 2000? Worried that FIFA 2001 has gone the same way? So am I. OK, so the set pieces have been sorted out so a crappy undeserving team doesn't beat you from a last minute corner BUT..

Everyone goes on about ISS Pro Evolution. I haven't played it personally but I have played Konami's International Superstar Soccer Deluxe on the old Super Nintendo and I must say that even when each skill level
was a step up from the last, it seemed realistically programmed and was thus a challenge NOT a frustration.
As we all know the step up from Professional to World Class in EA's games of late is a frustrating and unfair affair (unless of course you're Denis Enchev). For example, in FIFA 2001 a CPU player can take the ball all the way from the halfway line to your goal and even with 'attacking press' on so you have 3 - 4 players tackling him you still do not get the ball so you have to use a hard or slide tackle or concede a goal. Then of course the cheating referee awards a free-kick or penalty like how he RARELY does for you. After a while this becomes really tedious, especially at a crucial point in a season. This spoils the longevity of the game.
So I wholeheartedly ask any talented patch-makers out there:
PLEASE give us a patch to rectify this. You guys are so good at improving EA's deficiencies and lack of thought and knowledge of the game and gaming, for that is surely what a 'cheating CPU' on their so called World Class level is.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not mindlessly slagging off EA because, apart from this frustrating aspect, FIFA 2001 could almost be a truly great game. As has been said many times in the forums a bit of competition might make them buck their ideas up. Until that day.. PLEASE HELP!!
P.S. I post this here and not in a wish list so hopefully the message goes further.
P.P.S Apologies for the length of this post.
