after u double click the icon, is there a Fifa 2001 file when u press Ctrl+Alt+Del?
if there is, then u must wait for about 5 mins for the game to start. i have this problem too!

But after 1 min there is an error and the game is aborted.

what's ur system specs?

cpu, OS, graphics card, system memory, directx version...etc..

sounds like a perfect system for fifa2001.
Are you sure you enabled Fog emulation table?

To bring up another problem:
After installing FIFA, every time I start up windows I get two errors, I know one says "CDSETUP.exe" is not found or something. I have done full install and everything. Someone help me on that one.

To get rid of that startup screen (which takes about 5 minutes) head over to FIFA MLS. Download their 'fifa2001.exe' and overwrite it with your current one.
