We don't have a golf thread, so I'm making one.

Just watched the end of the US Open, that was incredible from Woods and Mediate. They were neck and neck until Rocco had a meltdown in sudden death.

You couldn't kiss up to a person as much as Johnny Miller does with Eldrick.

BTW, I enjoy watching golf although I can't sit through a full 18 hole round like I used to 8 years ago..........

I was watching it too Bobby. That was great stuff from both players but even when the odds were against him you have to say that you still knew Tiger was gonna pull it off somehow.

Tiger played the entire Open with a stress fracture :|

He's having surgery and will miss the rest of the year.

That includes the Ryder Cup.....I wonder if the Americans will now try to rally around him because this is not a tournament that has ended well for the US over the past few editions of it.

I say this without a hint of hyperbole, but this was one of the best sporting events that I've ever watched, man. My pops isnt much of a sports fan anymore, but whenever Tiger is in contention, we're both glued to the television. It was really cool and surreal watching golf in primetime...(they really need to have more majors out in the West Coast btw). It was quite strange to watch Tiger squander a three shot lead, but those two outrageous eagles coupled with that flukey chipped birdie...JAW DROPPING! The amount of skill and nerve to bank those shots is almost impoosible to imagine, man.

I get an immense hard-on when watching Tiger play like I used to for Jordan, Griffey and Rice....the dude's already the greatest and he's still got another couple of decades left in 'em.

What Greg Norman is doing is just so hard to believe. If he pulls this out tomorrow I will be amazed. I'm pulling for him.

Nah, you know the most famous choker in Golf History wasn't gonna win it. Harrington is a damn good golfer and I knew he'd take it today.
