this is shít, thats not a good reason, and not the real reason (its only a shítty one that he thought up)
really its coz they dont want to say how much money (the only thing ea care about) the portuguese fa wanted, its pbobably not much at all but the arse holes at ea dont want to spend a penny on that.

Does he give a reason why, Nigeria, Morroco, Iran and Ukraine aren't in the game but Palestine, Lebanon and Mauritius are?

This is at odds to what I believed the problem to be: licensing.
Tying in with what I wrote in the newsletter, it seems EA have included the countries in which FIFA sells best, and excluded the ones where it is pirated most. Perhaps the new EA tag-line could be: 'Sod the geame, think of the bank balance'? I would love to get a chance to speak to Mr Aubanel myself...

no it is not the reason that it is been pirated where the most. it is pirated in all around the world. what are you trying to say. they just gave the reason why some leagues are not included

- One of the main critique on ''fifa 2001'' is that it doesn't include the Argentine and the Turkish leagues. Why did EA decided to exclude those leagues from the game?
"We have to draw the line at a certain number of leagues & teams. We pick around the most appropriate 450 teams in the world. We are not comfortable increasing this until all platforms can use this data and that we can properly research the information accurately. We have to react at the last minute promotions & demotions across the globe and adding more leagues makes this process very difficult."

Like sum1 said in an earlier post keep the old leagues and make sum new 1s, i dont care if it is 20 cds 2 play, i just care if you dont "delete" leagues from earlyer versions!!!!

Like they said Drinky; in the FIFA 2001 FAQs: "We did picked the leagues based on sales". And EA Sports was given the license to Galatasaray at the last second.
