hey guys. i tried using the search tool but it didnt help me find what im looking for.

I used to have a career with leeds united and i was in my 4th season. but then i installed the russian premier league patch and when i load the leeds career it crashes. so i want to have 2 fifa 08s. 1 for russian premier league, and 1 normal one. can i do that?

Yes you can.

1. Install Fifa
2. Make a copy of it somewhere else in your hard drive.

I have 2 copies. one clean to play online and one with all my patches.

so i just make a copy of C:\Program Files\EA Sports\FIFA 08 somewhere on my hard disk and then uninstall fifa 08 and then reinstall the clean one(without russian league patch)?

wouldnt it be better if i tried installing fifa on my external hard disk?

This question was asked many times, and I personally needed the answer. And I found it. It's a little heavy and takes double space, but it's worthy. So. Install your FIFA. This will be your FIFA for multiplayer. Import ONLY graphics, DO NOT CHANGE THE DB! Then copy the whole data folder somewhere. Rename the existing one in the FIFA 08 folder to data*** (put whatever you want, I used data multi). Then bring the other data, which you copied somewhere back to the FIFA 08 folder. Then edit with CM or everything else. When you want to play multiplayer just rename this data to data single and data multi to just data. That way you switch in a second between the two FIFAs :). So an example:

1. Install
2. Copy the DATA folder somewhere
3. Rename the DATA folder in your FIFA 08 directory to DATA multi
4. Bring back the DATA folder which you just copied somewhere (step 2)
5. Edit it as much as you like :).
6. When you want to play multi - rename DATA to DATA single and rename DATA multi to DATA. Or reverse if you want to play your edited FIFA.

Actually it's just one install, but for both single (edited) and multiplay. If you dont understand something, just ask me here in the thread.

Yeah I tried to search "how do have two fifas" the problem is the term "fifa" triggers almost every thread.
