I have changed the AIMAIM.INI file... and have scored at long-range...

However, goals from FREE-KICKS still elude me... I cant believe how quick that keeper can move to save even the most precisely placed free-kick...

HOW THE HELL DO YOU SCORE...

Also I want to know what speed everyone is playing at... I was at NORMAL but have recently changed to SLOWER and I feel this is the most realistic...

Yes slow speed is great, definetly the one to play the game with, and no, I haven't been able to score directly with a free kick either, except at Maine road today, lol

I think I will have to get in the training section and practise some, find out what works.

After changin aimain, I've scored only twice on free kicks with Bierhoff and Zidane, so you would obviously need fairly good shooters. The goalies on the opposing teams probably have an effect on whether you score or not. With Bierhoff, I was playing AC Milan versus Lazio.

I found that if you are set up a couple of yards outside the penalty box and add curve to try and curve the ball around the wall it sometimes works. Also try to curve the ball towards the post that the goalie is farthest away from.
Just practice in the training mode.

Can't score too many free kicks either, although when they do go in they've been curved to the max. They actually don't curve much at all.

Scoring from free kicks is fairly easy, really. I perfected it with FIFA 2000 and carried it to 2001.

All you gotta do is curve it then aim it precisely (at the corner of the wall), and DON'T JAM THE SHOOT BUTTON, you don't need so much power or else it won't curve. You got this down you can score with anybody.

I have scored at least 3 long range goals from outside of the box in World Class mode and never changed a thing in the program. Be patient people..FIFA 2001's hardly been out long and everyone is frustrated that they haven't mastered the game!!! Remember, part of the fun is the challenge!

Altering the challenge is fun.
