hi,
i have been playing career for several seasons and have been using a common.ini to tweak the game (see here) (http://rapidshare.com/files/135718910/common.ini.html). since the start of this season, the game crashes everytime i click "next game" to play the first friendly match of the season. anyone know why?
several things:
-the section in common.ini about tweaking player value is added just last season to renew player contracts.
-the game crashes the same way now if regardless of whether i remove parts, or the common.ini file itself, from the game directory.

maybe the team in the friendly or yr team has an issue.
Could be a problem with the stadium or the teams in question. Either team have more than 30 players ?

I'm guessing its to do with the graphics. Check everything like adboards, stadiums, faces, kits e.t.c are ok for the 2 teams. I've had that problem before and it was the team had over 30 players but if that isn't the case for you then thats all i can think of.

Must be the common.ini. then. I know nothing about that, i don't change that so i can't advise you on how to fix it.

Does it crash as soon as you click 'Next match' without display any further menu screens?? If so, then the only reason that I know of for such a crash is having more than 30 players on the manager's team. If it crashes after you've navigated the subsequent menus and are ready to start the game on the pitch then I would suspect a graphics issue (especially if you have a modified database).

If the game crashes the second you hit 'Next match' and you are certain that you have 30 or fewer players on your team then feel free to email me your manager mode data file (and FIFA.DB/ENG.DB if you've modified them in any way, either by applying a third-party patch or making changes yourself) and I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what is going on using my EAFFAnalyser tools.

Well then I'm afraid that either you are using a different number base from me or your counting was a little sloppy ;) since your team had 31 players in a classic manifestation of the bug. A fixed version of your manager mode data file will be on its way the next time I do a mail pass.
