This Thursday the Amsterdam Tournament starts in the Amsterdam Arena.
The host is of course Ajax and the other teams are Liverpool, AC Milan and Valencia!
Yes, some great names that will compete with each other for the Tournament win.
Program:
Ajax - AC Milan 26/7 19.00u
Valencia - Liverpool 26/7 21.15u
Valencia - AC Milan 28/7 18.30u
Ajax - Liverpool 28/7 20.45u

Personally I'm looking forward to the match Ajax-Liverpool, should be nice to watch.
The whole tournament is worth seeing though :D
The Ajax-matches can be seen live on Dutch television on SBS 6.

Last year Ajax finished second behind Barcelona and after they won against Arsenal with 3-1.

What do you guys think, who will become the winner in Amsterdam this weekend and why?
It's a test for all teams to see how far they are with preparing for their competitions and it's a final test for Ajax before they play against Celtic for the CL ticket. Exciting times!

Terim Looking Forward To Amsterdam Tournament

07/24/2001. AC Milan boss Fatih Terim spoke to reporters today about the upcoming Amsterdam tournament before flying to Istanbul to attend a friend’s funeral.

“ Everyday things are improving. We now started to combine athletic work with technical one. However we are only at the beginning, and it will be very hard to face Ajax and Valencia after just a few days of work. They will be very important tests for me to see what level we have reached,” said Terim.

The Amsterdam tournament begins on Friday. Liverpool are also participating in the friendly event, together with Ajax, Valencia, and AC Milan.

As luck would have it, Joe will have a stop-over in Amsterdam tomorrow, so if he spots a squad, we'll see what he can get out of them :)

Yep, I will be there when Ajax plays of course against Milan and Liverpool.
I'll be there with a couple of friends enjoying myself. Great to see Litmanen back in Amsterdam even if he plays for Liverpool, he's been a fantastic and important player for Ajax for a lot a years :D
Two tough matches ahead for Ajax for sure, Milan bought Inzaghi and Rui Costa and they still have Chevchenko and other great players like Maldini in defense etc.
Liverpool has proven to be a really difficult squad to beat with players like Owen, Fowler, Gerrard, Heskey etc etc. so I think I will enjoy myself watching these great players at work in the ArenA.
I hope that ManUnited will be there next year cos every year they invite new teams.
Last year they were Barcelona and Arsenal among others so who knows next year..?

Yep this could very well be cos they've won against a better Ajax with 1-0.
Ajax was really strong in the 2nd half and Milan was not sharp when it concerns the chances they had. Inzaghi had 3 chances.
Rui Costa made the goal for Milan.
Zlatan Ibramahimovic, van der Vaart and Mido (Ahmed Hossam) were brilliant during the game so it's a pity Ajax lost.
Liverpool won the game against Valencia with 1-0 due to a great goal by Jari Litmanen, it was great to see him back in action again.
We rooted for him during the whole match and he sat besides the pitch when Ajax played as well as the rest of the Liverpool team.
Saturday-evening Ajax and Liverpool will face eich other, exciting indeed.
