Well begining with the topic, I must say as a lot of us noticed, the kits can be viewed like this with the CM08:

Trying to make a 09 Kit, When I imported it with CM08 (the file 512*1024), I couldn't, with issues of the size. Then I tried to import it as 1024*1024, and didn't worked out looking like this:

But after I saw this issue, I thought I could give a try to a normal 08 kit to see what happens, and the result was this:

Then I said to myself "I think there's gonna be some issue in game, but let's give it a try", and when I tried to play a match, this is the surprise I've got...

08 kits @ FIFA 09!!!
Don't know if was kind of predictable seeing that the kit pattern was similar as 08, but without texture, but this is a really good surprise for me. So what do you think guys? We can make our 08 kits but this way:

The kit's I used were @ 512*512, but I tested also 768*768 and I think obviously will work @ 1024*1024. If you can, give it a try and you'll see.

Rinaldo, please take a look and make a test of this thing to use it for CM09. Would be great if you count with this discovery, this thing would make easier the job for kitmakers!

So what do y'all think? Does it work the same way for you?

Great discouvery, but I still think that 09 kits have better proportions and are the easier way for kitmakers.

And by the way, how did you manage to import kits via CM08 anyway? It doesn't work for me, I can see the 09 kits, but I can only import 08 kits.

Just can be imported 08 kits, man, that's how I've managed this discovery. I cant import 09 kits, but it can be imported 08 kits. Of course you're right saying that 09 kits have better proportions, but that's why I suppose we can import and make look awesome 2gk and 3gk 08 kits ;)

btw, how you import kits? can you edit 09 demo with CM08 ?

Yeah, when you open CM08, click on Open - Select all, then u select the FIFA 09 Demo folder, then the fifa.db file and then the language file, and wait a few secs (yeah, a few) and voilá! You can import just 08 kits to the demo. But just that, you can see a lot of stuff, also the adboards and flags I think, when you go to the players' section there wants to crash the program but you click over Continue but you can't see players' info there.

aaah. dammit i deleted all 08 programms sometime ago.. :D

Yes, I knew it. Moreover also the contrary is true. You made an year of stretch logos on the front and kits where you could simply use the Fifa 09 template also in fifa 08. Sorry, I found out this thing only one month ago, too late.
This is because the model is the same so there are no difference in where the games search for the kits points ;)

For him and for everyone, here are the steps you've looking for:

Open CM08, click on file and do THIS:

A dialog window will appear and go look into the EA Sports for the FIFA 09 Demo folder, click on it and then over OK (or Aceptar or whatever)

Then, to most of you boys will appear the following screen but if doesnt, go find the carpet "cmn" into the "data" folder inside "FIFA 09 Demo"

Then, you select your language (if doesnt appear, click on english and will be fine, same stuff) as the next screen shows, if doesnt appear as this one, go look for the "fe" folder into the carpet "cmn" into the "data" folder inside "FIFA 09 Demo"

Wait a few secs as normally (well, less) and voilà! All would be, like in my land says "coser y cantar", I mean easily, you can search (a little less) into the FIFA 09 Demo folder, then you replace the kits as in 08.

Right know, this is the only choice but let's give the kids a few days and we'll have plenty of tools to have fun ;)

i successfully managed to get my fonts into fifa 09 demo using 2 programs.

CM08 and EA graphics editor

For lower-PC systems you know that the game clears the texture of the kits,
so you could try ingame how looks a kit with the texture already put in ;)
Try it in the game, with the worst graphics detail levels.
Perhaps it works well :$

This is embarrasing but, I don't get what are you saying, let me try to understand XD with the worst graphics, you suggest to make a test of inserting kits with or without texture? Or say it in spanish to understand really clear ;) Sry with the mods from now.

Vos sabes que el fifa con este sistema de meter la textura aparte puede tener variantes, era lo que pasaba en el pes2008, si tenias mala calidad de graficos casi desaparecia la textura del kit, entonces lo que te digo, como tenes la peor configuracion posible (para que te funcione el fifa) podrias tratar de hacer eso, de esa forma se veria una textura por lo menos (ya que el fifa borraria la que viene aparte). Osea, vos metes un kit con textura si tenes mala computadora, quizas asi podes hacer mejorar "un poquito" los graficos de tu juego,
probalo, todavia no lo probe yo porque mi maquina funciona de pm en alta calidad :D

ohh!! I see, well, I'll make the test soon (@ my sisters PC's that has the lower reqs for fifa) and I'll give you feedback. Here's a preview of my 09 kits, if someone can test them in game and send the feedback how does it looks, I'll be very grateful, and thanks from now.
