Does anyone have the solution about the constant crashing that occurs when:

1. One tries to play more than 2 games in a row, and

2. When one tries to play one game period!! (the dreaded kernel message)

I have minimum settings and meet the minimum tech standards of 2001. I have the cdrom, not warez version.

Anybody know? EA do you care?

If no solution is found, 2001 gets returned for a full refund. Like others, I have had it with EAs tech problems!!

Same problem with freacking Kernel.dll. Can't play game whille online. That means - no multiplayer games. SUCKS!!!!!. And I have all the **** you can stick in to this box! Win 98 SE, Pentium III 800MHz, voodoo3 3500, ........

Same frickin' deal here. I have the PSX version but I was pissed because I can't change all the crap EA got wrong so I bought the PC version today.

I have a RIVA TNT with the latest detonator drivers and a Diamond Monster 3d II board. I am using the RIVA board.

I have 98 SE and 500mhz and 256 ram.

I can't play a game without it locking up somewhere. And the worst of it is that the whole machine is locked I can't ctrl-alt-del and blast it out. I have to frickin' power off and on. What a load!!!!

Then I have to kill scandisk everytime because FIFA 2001 is a load of ****e!!!!!!

99 worked fine on my machine so did 2000.

I seethe hatred for EA. I guess it's back to the PSX.

I have P2 433, 128 MB RAM and a RIVA TNT, and FIFA 2001 has NOT crashed on me once, i and have been playing all day for the past 2 weeks with my friends, must be your pc, or a driver problem.

got amd athlon 750 and i played four games in a row then edited MLS rosters for 3 hours and never had problems with the game. save your game constantly or the changes you make. havent tried to play online yet but im on a t1 at ohio northern university, so i dont believe there will be any problems. if ea is listening, can i do the attributes and faces for the MLS next year??? earnie stewart is a little darker than in the game. and ariel graziani had a lot of points this year. why is he the worst player on dallas?? well, back to the crew's season. have fun

Did the game runs correctly with a duron 800 mhz, a Msi KT pro mother-board and a gforce 2 mx or did it crash? I want change my old pc(a K6 233, voodoo 3, asus TX 97) before christmas. If I change and the game doesn't work anymore, what a pity!!
