my personal opinion is than on the next gen fifa will win easily. on the pc they will come even, and on last gen including wii(yes i consider wii last gen because its poor processing power)pes is gonna win.

The CL mode on PES looks good, but Fifa looks good overall. I'm looking at this from a next gen point of view as i'm keeping '08 for PC and getting '09 on the 360, and i'll say '09 because its annoying when PES don't have licensed teams.

You can't say that FIFA on PC is current-gen. It's somewhere in the middle, and PES is NOT next-gen, at least not FULL NG. Full NG is FIFA on X360 and PS3.

I played both demos. The FIFA 09 demo is terrific, the new PES demo feels like crap. Really sad how they have lost their gameplay touch.. but FIFA is really good and plus you got all those features in FIFA that make it more fun to play

The fifa demo was great and the pes 2009 demo i thought was great too. Everyone was raving about how good the full game is of fifa 09, then slowly the flaws started to creep in. After looking on the fifa forums and seeing how all the disappointed people are reacting to the bugs and flaws that affect their enjoyment of the game. It seems EA again can't be bothered to release a patch to fix the flaws, and just expect there fans to make do....again. Now we come to pes 2009, the demo i thought was great. A few people still had problems with it though. I thought graphically it was a good improvement, but it's what it plays like right ?. Again i thought this is pretty good, but like fifa 09 after the first few games you think this is great. After reading two or three player reviews of the full game of pes 2009, they are reassuring people that it is totally different to the demo. Like i said earlier i thought the pes demo was great, if it's true about the full game of pes 2009 being better than the demo, then all i can say is GET IN.:dance:

I like both games, but fifa on pc was horrible compared to the 360 version. Pes seems to be pretty good on the pc.

ok just got my copy of pes2009 for 360 and i must say its improved but still not quite there. damn whats up with the animations?
the graphics are good faces look beter than fifa but player models suck the al have big butts.
gameplay wise the cpu rarely play long ballsand the cpu never surprises u with a 1 on 1 situation.
goalkeeper saves are more realistic in pes but the animations?!?!?!
its 2009 and a next gen console come on fifa 09 on pc has smoother animations.
the CL atmosphere is great its a shame EA abused the license by making a seperate game.
the gameplay is better than 2008 but still arcady.
i used to be a big PES fan until fifa 08 for 360 came out. PES had amazing gameplay back then i could even ignore the lack of licenses.
now FIFA has better gameplay and better licenses so i think it's the last PES title i buy unless thing change drastically.

I have just purchased Fifa 09 on my PC but have to say i prefer my PES 2009 demo to it at the moment . Will make a decision when the full PES 2009 arrives .

Well i've been playing Fifa 09 and PES 2009 Demos.......

and there is a clear winner by a long way..... and that Fifa 09 IT'S way way better than Pes this year.....

i could go in to what's better but the list is to long...

Pes is going down hill fast.... and i wont be buying it this year it would be a wast of money........

And i'm talking about NEXT-GEN.....

UPDATE: just got hold of the full game of fifa 09...... (BEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER 200% better than the Demo)

I've got Fifa09 now but I have to say i prefer to play Fifa08. Not because the graphics are better or anything but i like manager mode the best and it won't let you change players numbers which is really annoying.

There should be a patch by EA coming out soon that will fix that and many other bugs in the game...when that is...well let's hope soon lol

The CL mode in PES 2009 is not as authentic as it is hyped up to be. Some of the teams of liscensed but it still falls short of Ea's past effort in their iteration of the UCL, in terms of authenticity. I think this is partly due to the horrendous commentary and less than impressive gameplay. The graphics are decent but not great.

i alos think tha t fifa is better than pes. But in one point pes is better: The legend mode is a lot better than the be a pro mode in fifa.

well both have its own flaws and its advantages over each other.No point arguing over it.I think FIFA 09 is better to play

Nah, the graphics at FIFA is way better and more realistic, the only thing that PES beats FIFA in is at gameplay
