I'm starting off a champions league patch.

The reason why is this. Last year we must have seen a good 4-5 differnt groups of patchmakers creat their version of a champions league patch? Whats the point? lets all instead work together here on this one

Instead of 3 or 4 different groups creating a champions league patch please contact me and we will all work together. And if anyone wants to take charge be my guest (like myx did with fifa wolrd)

Loads of people will work on this, but ts important to get monkey dragon because i want a version of this patch to be a mode.

If we dare to do, it must be NEW CORE - NEW MODE - NEW GAME, cost about 500MB total ! Click and Play, no bother FAT rebuilding, profile, online, saved game, etc, coz it's a NEW GAME :D

i'd like to divert a bit towards the national teams' patch here
i'd like to suggest for the national teams patch, please (if possible), do not just blindly continue from FIFA 08 cos there might be created players (for FIFA 08) which has already been created in FIFA 09. please check them & do not create existing players! (i know this is a lot of work, but if possible, please do!) This is important cos (for 08) when we import these teams through cmp, i do find that there were many duplicate players (with double IDs) which can be quite annoying (at least to me)...
& these created players in the national teams shall be the same players in their respective leagues (no duplicates)
that's my 2 cents...

Thanks for being able to send us kits from these teams (just dont do kyiv home since ihave done that) Ill do qualifying rounds after. First we focus on doing the 32 teams in proper.

hey gussounds very interesting... however im a juve fan and i was wondering what stadium will be in the game for juves? if its the delle alpi on the game then maybe you guys may wanna consider making the olimpico in torino making it more realistic... because juve havent played at the delle alpi for 3 seasons now

what can i say about this project? ... It need to be something big. Very big. PES 2009 already has UCL, FIFA 09 will have only if this will be a BIG HIT. Also i want to say that EAFH is a NEED for this project. Also MD can do the UCL MODE game and of course all of you guys can help for this superb patch. THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR OF UCL! ;)

Issues in facing:
There is a problem importing transparncys ingame. They dont work that well on kits and numbers, look at the numbers for bordeaux, they look wrong. Its because you can't import them properly. The transparencys aren't working properly?
I need some help with this.

The 2 most important stadiums are oaka (panathinaikos,aek) and karaskaiki (olimpiakos).

The champion league night is ready on oaka. Unfortunetly the stadium still needs editing.... the athletic track is covered with a green cloth (wich blends in with the glass) during matches. Also the the benches need to be fixed.

Karaskaki need higher res textures.. i could find some photos of the stadium, if u need em.

Looks really nice except the menu background which looks a bit cheasy and cartoonish. Why don't you use the CL backgrunds from the CL 06/07 game, those were awesome. If you don't have the game, you can also find them in the Euro08 demo in the first zdata.

Just give the tournament an id less than 95 with CM and you will see it also the first year. Please note that, if you make this thing with EA SPORTS ECC and EFA, the result will be dangerous for the following years. You will seriously risk to have your team qualified for both competition or 2 times in Champions...
Manager Master is not the first solution. It can be the solution if you did the other thing with CM and then you want to delete the double teams in your tournament in the second year.

one more thing, I puted ECC in tournoment mode to play regulary. When I choose a team which is already in second round, there are some blank teams in some groups and there is TBD in fixture and results. Its somehow strange because it's obvious which teams won the last round so why there are still TBD.

Inless somone develops a effective kitserver system the proberly no.

UCL 06/07 had a system where kit numbers 21-24 were cl kits. I think you would ned to rewite the game code to get that working!

From now until the summer i'm making a international teams patch like last year :)

Although i have very little motivation for fifa now. Partly becasue its **** and life is getting busy and i need to finish off my work good enough so i can go uni.

I've tried to upload this cmp in CM09 and it continues to crash CM09 on the first file with a System Exception space type of error.

I have plenty of drive space and ram, running on Vista.

Any ideas?

Nope, no luck. I tried loading in smaller stages but it would continue to crash CM in multiple, different spots. Will using Create, Replace or ID make a difference? Which should I be using?

You can use CM09. Open your FIFA db file then open patch and import the 2 files separately (UEFA Patch 1 first, then Patch2). After saving the FIFA DB, you should then see the tournaments in the game.

Good luck with this as I could never get it to load properly and encountered errors.

You could always create a new tournament in the game and add the teams. Just add the teams in order to ensure they're in their correct groupings. I just used the info found on http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/index.html but there are a few teams that are not easily found in the game (Russian Teams) so I just replaced them with some other teams.

Hi Speedy,

This Champions League patch is quite old and you'll probably have a hard time finding it. It is from last year with 2008 rosters and teams so you may just want to create your own tournament in the game.

will there an update for season 2010?

You mean the rosters?

i tried to use the fifa 10 database of players & use it for 09 but it is a lot of work.

all that needs to be done is the players in the db. removing certain parameters is all that needs to be done for all the players (thats the hard part, its a lot of players).
