Well after having played both the game on PC and Ps3, I am finding the game miles better on next-generation. Is it the same people who program the quite different versions?

1-2% of pcs on the market would be able to handle fifa 09 if they used the PS3 system on pc thats why they didn't do the same system. cause barely anyone would be able to play it.

EA's just doing some sort of console pushing, cause without this unfair pushing, there wouldn't be a reason for anyone to get a console.

Yeah, that's why so many console games beeing converted for PC these days AND use higher textures/resolutions... It's simple as that, they give a **** because FIFA sells! People will buy it no matter if they go on updating it or not...
And by the way, you should start reading some tech-reports and stop believing these marketing slogans...

I have an PS3 and the graphics arent that good as everybody says. Also the resolution mostly sucks. And that no Pc could match their performance is bull**** too. How come, the PC-version of GTA 4 will be graphically improved to the PS3 version? And not i am saying this, Rockstar itself does.

Processors in pcs and consoles can be relatively the same, its all the background programs that hold back a pc ( eg. windows)

yes many pcs today can handle the x360 grapphics and thats the reason fifa 09 looks good on pc (i think better than x360 version on full details)
but the gameplay engine engine would require a q6600 cpu at least to run on pc and not many people got those thats the reason why the gameplay is last gen.
pes 2008/9 is not a true next gen sure the graphics are nice but the physics and animation are poor

I just registered this forum just to tell you that you wrote what i want to write about pes exactly.

Pes has far great cpu assistance that you can barely control the game. (red cards for cpu controlled players slide is one of them)

I actually find the game dumb and boring in the PC version, seems like an unfinished product, not challenging at all.
On the other hand, I find the game on X360 very entertaining and challenging, thousands of miles away from the PC version.

Wrong... These statistics which are made up are stupid, that's like saying 1-2% of cellphones on the market can handle what a blackberry solitaire game is.

PS3 vs. an actual good computer?

Anyone that is going to be playing FIFA on their computer, and isn't a cheapo (I.E. never going to upgrade from Windows 98 to XP or Vista), could probably play it at the same level.

Cell processor? How about a quad core at 3.5 to 4 Ghz? (Less than 200 bucks, Q6600)

sports gaming is for consoles anyway. Pc is for geeks and all the other games.
