Is this Ea's idea of a stronger AI?

try messing about with some settings to make it harder to score

its just a thought, or you could just give your games to me and I can sell em for easy money

Why bother playing fifa2k1 against computer. The challenge is to see how good you are against other people.

Yea, but it really tests your skills against other people, it's not just a game of FIFA anymore, it's a game with lag. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif

Hi! I have changed my nick, I am actually Soccer Nucleus.

Just played a cable connection game with one of my mates, and it's much, much more harder. The match ended in a draw, 7-7. I took Charlton while he took Villa. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

Pretty fair I guess.

If any of you guys are finding the game no challenge at all on World class mode, here is what you can do to make it harder:

Edit your squad players stats and actually make them worse, lower the values so they are poorer players.

And for the life of me I don't know why FIFA still persist with only 3 difficulty settings, don't they know if a games too easy then replay value is basically ruined?

You play it once, find its too easy, your not going to play it again, Need for speed is like this too, that games too easy.

in f2k i got bored at wc level and for the fun started to play custom tournaments with the weakest teams such as e.g. al wahda and others. there the challenge was there again, a 100%, to the point making me mad why i was no longer in so easy control.
will it be the same in fifa 2k1?!

To HNFC : because we like to play seasons and cup tournaments, not single games that amount to nothing, also when you are beating someone online they just log off the connection before the game is over, because they are bad losers, that happens a lot.

I don't quite like the linesmen in Fifa2001.
Ea has programmed it such a way that, One linesman is only programmed to move on the back left-half side while the other on the right-half front side. This really makes things silly. Imagine a player running down the left flank, and in the process, the linesman just stops or runs back.

This problem in animation not only occurs with the linesman but also with the coaching staff and players that sit on the bench. They are doing their warm-ups for the WHOLE 90-mins. Thats stupid factor number 2. The stewards that are arranged around the stadium do the same movements again and again. It give's me the impression that they are suffering form some serious mental disorder.

What are your opinions on the side-line animation?

i never play to win in fifa games. why? cause it's not real. I know I am better than the computer, why bother winning 7:0 with loads of unrealistic goals when you can win 2:1, 3:1 with real goals and feel the reality of the game.... That's what the fifa series are all about..

To RUSSIANROCKET: Yes, I do sometimes play league games and give the computer team opponent some chances. I defend recklessly at times to allow my keeper to get some action. Yes, it really adds to the reality of things and that's what Fifa is all about.

Great comment. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

To Football Guy.

it is normal 4 the linesmen to onl cover one half of the pitch. that is how it is in real life.

oHave you noticed that teams controled by the computer never score a header.
Why is the reason to have a header if the AI will never use it.... do you know why?

Try to do this, do not play with any side, let the computer take care of both teams, like watching a TV match, and you will find out that the player never hit the ball with the heads, even less to score a header goal, like FIFA 97!!!!! jua!!!! I still can belive it!

Yes, I know about that...but the movement of the linesmen are so restricted.... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yeah...the AI can't head the ball...they have a sore head or something... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
