Hitzfeld new manager for ManU.....?
NEVER!!
A german as a manager for a British team, ridiculous
Hitzfeld is an average coach, maybe good enough for Bayern and other German teams but not for ManU!
David O Leary could be a good coach for ManU, Cruyff is not an option cos he won't do it!
When Ajax needed a new coach they asked him and he wasn't up for it or for any other club he said. Maybe in a few years but not right now or next year that's for sure.

Genesis, where did you leave your knowladge of good managers?
1. Martin O'Neill - defenitely the best around(after alex himself, of course)
2. David O'Leary - a good young manager
3. Arsene Wenger - although I would dread to see him at Old Trafford, I don't like him but he is a good manager

Hitzfeld is a great manager that had won two champions league at the recently. Who can deny it?

Too pity, Cruyff is out of options.

PhiLLer,

For me, Martin O' Neill lacks of ability and charisma to control those big names in Man U.

Anyway, David O' Leary is a good option.

I don't know why some say Wenger is at the top of the list, it's quite unbelievable.

You got bigger things to worry about mate, for instance the game against Ajax for the Prerounds CL.
Ajax beat Liverpool yesterday with 3-1 so we're ready for you lot!
There can be only one winner :p

I still think we should have promoted Steve McLaren, he knows all about United and he's been taught by Sir Alex himself! As for the other front runners;

Martin O' Neil : Looks to be a brilliant manager, but I'd like to see how he handles the Champions league before making a judgment.

Arsene Wenger : Er Ok he's a great manager, but would United consider the manager of one of our greatest rivals?

David O'Leary: Well on his way to becoming a great manager.(see Wenger)

Other choices

Sven Goran Erikkson : Perfect candidate, I'd love to see him take the reins at United, (Though of course it'd f*ck up England's plans!)

Eric Cantona : Sentimental reasons, but you don't appoint leaders on sentiment. And I don't think United would benefit from a "rookie" manager.

Bryan Robson : Again sentimental reasons, but I suppose he isn't exactly having a successful time at Middlesbrough.
