...as I understand it, the face is in the game - but the player isn't. Therefore, if you add the player to Fifa 09 using the data from Fifa 08, then you should have him in the game with his EA-made face. No need for a download link.

Reply here if that works... (so I'll know I can add him to Bolton's squad! :D)

Thanks mate, This works great it has his face and even commontates his name but i haven't got the hair right im not sure which number is for a bald head so i just had him with the short afro he had.

It's pretty easy, actually... use dbmaster 08 to open Fifa 08's fifa.db file and open the players table... then use dbmaster 09 to open Fifa 09's fifa.db file and open the players table... then search for Ronaldo (his ID is 37576, I think) and create a new player in the 09 players table. Copy the common fields as you go along - I think that there may be a couple of fields that are not compatible, but you should be able to fill something in there that works. Next you want the teamplayerlinks field in fifa 09, find Citeh's id if you don't already know it, then in the first available field, you copy the format above you - team id (citeh), player id (fat Ron) etc... choose the squad number and for position you can choose 33 which I think makes him a default reserve then save and quit. Ingame you should find him on the Citeh bench and when called upon, you will hear the appropriate commentary and see his EA-made face.

Please kindly forgive me for asking a total noob question. I have done as you said opened up both 08 and 09 db and done the necessary... i.e in filling up the common fields and the not compatible ones as well. I saved fifa 09.db and attached big Ron to Flamengo. His name appears saved in the db. but I do not get him in game. Did I do anything wrong? Er...is there a tutorial as to doing this db. thingy.. sorry I am totally new to editing!!

Did you assign position 33 to him? That would put him on the bench... if you choose a number that clashes with a player in the first 11, you might have problems... I've put all the steps and others have been successful, so just try again.

There is a field that determines if the face has low hair or whatever... because Ronaldo wasn't in the game, there is no rule to what you use in your game.

u r right keegan but if u add his id to the db file u will find his style, celbrte, call name & mini face

Hey Keegan, great explanation..didnt work for me though. I tried exactly what you said, I put him in mancity, milan and flamengo, didnt work in either. I put his position as 33, made sure no one had has in number. Any clues? Can you send me an export of your players list from db master 09?

umm i tried putting him into ManCity and it didnt work, so I tried Flamengo (ID: 1043) and it worked, he has afro though cant change it for some reason..do u by any chance know how to import/change faces in Fifa 09 using faces the members post here?

I dont have fifa 08 but used Db master 09 to create a new player and added all the details along with the Id 37576. assigned him to milan. When I try to load Fifa I get the Fifa 09.exe has stopped working.If I delete the player it works. I tried copying an exsting player and edited him with the Ronaldo 37576 Id but no matter what I do any change made to the db and Fifa stops working. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks
