Before installing the "pack chants" I recommend installing this file Chants.bin (http://files.filefront.com/Fix+EA+Chantsbin+Update/;13676651;/fileinfo.html)

This file removes the generic sounds of EA SPORTS...

To find teams use Ctrl + F

hey again my fotball lovers!

Now something strange happened!!!

I installed fifa 09 again, added all patches ( light, cinematic, sound.ambience, flag packs, and so on.... and i installed the offical patch from EA... then i found a db (roster update - Roster_Update_22.07.2008.zip)

Now when i add the roster update, the fifa09.exe wont start, game crashes!

When i switch back to old roster (the one that followed with the game) it works fine!?

BUT!! the new roster update file, worked before, fine, but now, no no, dont understand why....

This is the patch from EA i installed that fixes alot of stuff: fifa_2009_ukfrdeitnl_patch1.exe

Some forums says its not fixing anything, but i see the game more smoother and commentary is difference, new thinks they say.

Just wanted to report this so you know.

Well another problem, installed the chants pack for 08 to my fifa 09, now there is no chants at all!?

So im uninstalling the game AGAIN , and wait til a good proper pack comes to fifa 09 :)

If someone have installed them and they work, can you please tell me what patches you have installed.... maybe its the ambience sound patch that ****es up the chants pack?

Would be awsome with a league pack chants, i mean for premier league, serie-A and so on... and one pack for only national teams :)

i really would like the english supporters singing their national anthem, kicks ass on VM when they sing it, i get goooosbooombs :D

Yea the chants should be posted by leagues cuz i don't want the chants from some leagues there...and i can't download 821 MB...:willis:

Thanks, nothing can really go wrong when an installer is used. Can you do anything about the international chants (or lack thereof)?

Guys what is wrong with you!! The patch works fine and it is fanatastic. Make sure you install it the correct folder and not creating another fifa09 file in the fifa main folder cause then the chants won't be installed. Mine works fine and so should yours!

Dont understand whats causing this!!! :(

Im gonna re-install fifa 09, and this time dont add any patches but the chant patch... see if it works... i come back with answer soon.

Woohooo... un-installed the ambience sound patch! and woila, game crash, and format :D Game crashed all the time, so i un-installed fifa09, tried to install it again, no no, some registry key was damage.... run registry cleaner, nope, tried install fifa09 like 10 times... NO! :P

So im back with a fresh clean vista install, and i WILL NOT ever again install international chants 09 :P

@OP: Could you also make a patch for the sounds the crowd makes, such as making clapping louder and the 'OOoooooooh!' sound when there's a near miss could do with more volume as well. Also, there are some chants in there that are quite good, such as 'Sit down, shut up!' They just need a bit more volume; does your patch add to what's there or does it overwrite everything?

It's now a great feeling to be able to play at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge and actually feel like your're in the stadium. Wonderful chants!!!

I have a suggestion: Could you maybe add a reverb effect to the chants to give it to a more stadium like realism. Many of the chants sound as though I am hearing them from right behind me. Not that this not good, but since we are trying to achieve a Broadcast view in FIFA 09, getting Popups and scorecards etc. to make FIFA 09 as TV-like as possible, I thought this would add a more realistic touch.

But apart from that, awsome chants. Finally got it downloaded on my 4th attempt in 13 hours. Tried downloading it 3 times before: 67% (6 hours), 89% (10 hrs) and 98% (13 hrs). Also could seperate you patch into smaller patches. It would make it easier to download for people like me. Maybe Leagues???

Yep, this is exactly what I said. A good reverb effect needs to be applied to most of these chants.

Maybe you could use ditty importer which can apply the reverb effect to the chants when creating them as .asf files.

Do you have any plans to split the d/l into more manageable chunks (say around 200mb each), or just do them by leagues? Most people would only be interested in a certain amount of leagues, for example, I don't really need Brazilian league chants; I'm only interested in Europe.

I've tried the Premiership/Championship patch and here's my feedback:

The sounds, pretty much across the board, sound too distorted and don't give the feeling that they're coming from a stadium, rather that they're in the room with you. Look at some sound packs for PES 6, they sound awesome. No distortion, but nice, loud, resonant chants.

Also, regarding Man Utd chants, I didn't hear 'United! United! United!' Have you included it? EA's Utd chant was pathetic: the crowd sounded like they couldn't give a damn and it was far too quiet as well.

Overall, not a bad effort, but the distortion problem needs work.

@Bruno: Hell, I'm not saying for a minute you should make the chants like the PES defaults, but have a listen to some from PES 6 and you'll see exactly what I mean. Reducing the sound level doesn't help; you simply lose all other sounds, such as the ball being kicked, etc.

I'm not saying you've done a bad job, just that it could do with some fine tuning, compared to packs for PES 6. By the way, did you include a 'Utd...Utd...Utd..' chant? EA's is pathetic.

Can you do anything about the 'background' crowd noise and the goal cheers/near miss reactions? The other chants are so much louder, so that those sounds just don't blend in at all.

Which is exactly why I wouldn't be able to do it myself, so what I'm asking is if anyone is going to make a patch using sounds altered with that software?

Edit: Chants are still assigned to the wrong teams: I had Chelsea fans singing 'I'm forever blowing Bubbles' (West Ham's song and Chelsea hate West Ham) and Man Utd songs when Man Utd are nowhere to be found. Maybe this is just something basically wrong with the game that can't be helped with SM 09? Also, some of the chants are distorted beyond recognition.

Edit: Sorry, Bruno, but these chants are terrible. It's got to the stage when I just wish they'd shut up! It sounds as though they're in the room with you and each and every one of them has a loudspeaker!! I've heard many chant packs, but this is the only one where I want to go back to the game's originals. If you can add some reverb to them, remove the distortion and quieten them down a bit, I'm sure it'd be great, but as it stands, they just annoy me. I am not one to slag someone's work off unnecessarily, but in this case, it really needs work.

Then all I can say is you've never heard a PES 6 or PES 2008 chants pack. They're amazing, they have reverb, they're not too loud and they make it sound like a real football stadium! So realistic, someone came home once at around 1pm (weekday) and said 'funny time of day for a football match to be on the TV!'

Patch> Load Chants Patch

in the new window go into Load Patch select the file .smp and click import patch, save before leaving.

Ok,

1° Open and uncompress the .smp with winrar in folder data\audio

2° Export the archives (Chants.bat , chants.bin ,ImpBig ) to FIFA 09\data\audio Folder and execute CHANTS.BAT archive.

@Bruno: If you can get all the chants to that kind of level, it'll be the best chant pack of all time! Remember, they all need to be turned up a little, so they cut through EA's too loud background crowd noise.

Bad news.

So what is going on with your updated version of the anthems patch? I had downloaded an earlier version and I did appreciate your work a lot. The amount of chants in your patch is immense. But the truth is that all of them were in bad audio quality. I was looking forward to your updated version because I thought maybe you would edit them and release them in better quality.

Is this a possiblity now or are you done with this patch? I'm looking forward to your reply.

to convert .asf to .wav use sx.exe!

use this command in DOS:

sx -wave asfName> -= wavName

then use a program to convert .wav to .mp3.

O unico método que conheço é utilizando o SM... para criar o arquivo .asf existem outros programas, mas precisara de outro pra editar o arquivo .bin !!
