Fantastic match I saw tonight, Ajax against Liverpool and though it was only a pre-match for the new season Ajax was very strong :D
They've won against Liverpool with 3-1 and that's a fantastic result of course.
Ajax had more ballpossesion during the game, they were more dangerous etc.
Liverpool had a strong team on the pitch with Fowler in the first half (scored 1-1) and Owen in the second but that wasn't enough to stop a real fanatic Ajax!!
Ajax scored the most goals in this tournament and so they won in Amasterdam and we (the fans) are extatic let me tell you.

After watching this game I'm convinced that Ajax can beat Celtic for the CL, it gives us fans hope for the future and it gives the teamplayers much more confidence and that's good for their progress.
I've watched the game tonight in the Amsterdam Arena and the atmosphere was amazing, I really enjoyed myself, Ajax played like the Ajax I used to know and that's of course incredible I think.
The new players:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (striker from Sweden), Ahmed Hossam (Mido as a nickname), Maxwell (Brazil) are great assets for the team.
The goals for Ajax were scored by Nikos Machlas (x2) and Shota Arveladze. Robbie Fowler scored for Liverpool.
In the second match tonight, Valencia won against Milan with 2-1.

Congratulations to them i think they desereved it, even against milan they played very well, that Zaltan guy looks like a really good player and i think as they go on into the season he'll become more battle hardened and could really live up to his hype. It would be nice to see Ajax back in the CL after a while and i dont think celtic would find it easy against them like some people predicted.

Thanx guys, don't forget it's just a prematch but the result stands :D
You can say that again cos Celtic plays a bit the same strategy like Liverpool does and Ajax attacks, attacks and attacks.
We'll see if Celtic can answer those attacks but I doubt it after seeing Ajax perform in this tournament. Machlas is getting back to his old self again, scored two goals yesterday, Arveladze is playing out of his skin and they're all willing to work for eich other.
