Well, although having busy life, I tried to re-design completely the popups for FIFA 09 ! Let's take a look at those popups below ! What do you think ?

Time for taking request ! ONE WEEK ONE POPUPS: for those who are interested in popups, you can take photo or screenshot on TV and post at this thread, twice a week on Thursday and Sunday, I'm here to get and make popups for you !

Thanks MD, friend, sry for all of us bothering you and saying all the desperate stuff we say when you go far, sometimes 'yelling' or gettin' crazy, but we know you've got a life outside FIFA and we wanna respect it man. So thanks again for the comeback. Anything of your awesome creations will be appreciated deeply by everyone. And we're waiting for popups :D man, any chance of ESPN popups? :D

And CL popups are outstanding, are awesome, are MD Quality, no more words, speechless...

also I love on the third picture how it has 5-2 against liverpool yet the scoreboard reads us beating roma 7-1 :D

MD, you the man! They look fantastic!

One question, for Cricket 07, someone figured out how to make an 'overlay changer', so you could choose a different overlay for some matches. Any idea if that can be done for Fifa 09?

Are you making scoreboards later as well? It'd spoil the look otherwise.

The attachment on this post is a (lousy) picture of a BBC Sports team lineup overlay, but it should give you the right idea of how it looks.

The logo in the left corner is this (without the NI bit)

of course im going to ask if i could use these perfect pop ups in my cl patch but could you give me a heads up on if you could create a MODE for my patch when its finished (this is a long way ahead, maybe even december time so its all cool)

Why not? I have a modified X360. PES2008 for X360 have a patch. Also, PES for PS2 :)

And in the future (this November) we can install the games on Xbox hard disk

But it looks like there's a mistake on the 2nd ng-popups screen with Torres.
The part of the popup where you see the 10 is surrounded by some blue rectangle... it looks strange, maybe you can fix that.

Good question, PRACTICE MODE doesn't modify any FIFA files ! Just set an option ONE_ON_ONE=1 !

But it looks like there's a mistake on the 2nd ng-popups screen with Torres.
The part of the popup where you see the 10 is surrounded by some blue rectangle... it looks strange, maybe you can fix that.

Fixed in download, also removed SONY logo of UCL pop !

I think the name is good enough ! I tried fixing but no luck ! :)

@MD: Good work, but will you be making another version to include substitution popups? Also, having the default EA player names graphics and scoreboard destroy the look. No sweat, MD, release them when ready. As for the cinematics bug, no problem if it's only two cinematics that do it. When you do release the scoreboards, will they be in a tool like this one, so you can switch between them easily?

Another bug, MD:

With the Premiership popup (don't know about the others), stats are missing. For example, the pop up will say 'Goals scored this season' and it'll be blank, all it shows is the player's number. Same thing goes for 'shots today' or other stats. Could you fix that when you have time?

Hmm, I know this bug, unfortunately I can't (won't) fix it. I just did some basic popups changes, there are a lot of code to be tested and fixed, I'm afraid I have no time :)

Found another bug in nextgen popups.
If a player scores more than 1 goal normaly appears goal today: 2 or 3...
but with new popups only goals and nothing more

i deleted the popups and game works again lol not sure why

EDIT: is the scoreboard supposed to be replaces also? cause the formation hingy when someone scores thingy works (have pl ones on now) but scoreboard is default still is this cause u havent changed the scoreboard or s it cause somehting is wrong (in my case)?

hey maybe that logo comes in the center of the field only at the beginning of the match... I hope so. wouldn't want it to be there in the entire match.

much like how we get the UCL logo coming at the start of a UCL match...

Now, if it could be modded so that it worked like the popups - eg you have the CL logo appear at the start of the match if that's what you choose in the menu, that'd be good.

About the positions, I don't know.
About the colors , you need a hex editor to edit file.apt (the address to edit depends on the file you are using)

idea (if you are good at hex editing you can use it)

search for the value "0000 FFFF" (means red) and replace it by the required color (if you find more than one instance, you need more investigation to decide which one to change)

Colors:

- WHITE: FFFF FFFF
- BLACK: 0000 00FF
- BLUE: FF00 00FF
- GREEN: 00FF 00FF
- RED: 0000 FFFF
