I made a new account but when I click on Matchup it does nothing. I'm gessing that its not on yet untill the game comes out in all countys.

Yep, if you go to the easports website and go to the online area it says "coming November" for Fifa 2001, hopefully it will be up and running soon after the 10th...then let battle commence.

Well, I had the same problem with NHL2001 matchup and I found out how to solve it, it's very simple: you just have to wait while your ea.com loads completely, because when it's loading it installs program for online gaming called "snoopy" or something like that. So give it a try, maybe it'll help.
