After last years 3.Bundesliga-Patch which has been downloaded over 20.000 times, I am here to present you my new project for this year, the 3.Liga-Patch (or just 3LP).:) This thread will inform you on the process and is there to support you, if there are any problems with the patch.


This year's patch will feature the following:
- 1 new League: German 3. Liga
- including 20 new teams + squads
- authentic graphics (such as kits, banners, etc...)
- updated German Cup
- added missing relegationmatches
- and some general fixes...

After more than a half year of work I finally finnished this patch. I hope you'll enjoy it!

And a patch's new feature to announce, the relegationmatches.
This new system will be featured in 1. Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and 3. Liga this year, unfortunatly EA just didn't thought of this change in the German League system. 16th placed teams now have to fight in two matches agains 3rd placed teams of the league below for a place in 1.Bl/2.Bl. Having this new mode in your manager-mode means having more authentency and meanwhile also more dramatic moments. I've tested these new modes and I'm pleased that I can say that they work how they should. It's really much fun having them ingame and they improve the league system a lot.

Take care and choose very carefully what leagues you want to put in game because in my experience, after more then 4-5 leagues the game freeze in manager mode in "completing transfers 80%" window, due the number of the players in game.

I didn't know this, but thanks for sharing your knowledge, although I wanted to put in just one new league at first anyway.

The new version is only for people who complained that the cmp.-version still needs some clicks that have to be done by hand, before the career mode works.

People who already have the patch installed via .exe-installation, don't need to download version 1.1.

I would like to join the 3rd liga too but I`ve got a big problem because it doesn´t work. I installed the .exe version and started fifa09 after it. But I can´t find the 3rd liga.
Please help me!!! I would like to play with Eintracht Braunschweig so much...

Hmm, that's strange...
Normally you should find it under "D" Deutsche 3. Liga.

Have you installed any other patch before?

Just a soundpatch, a face patch and a flag-patch...

Normally, this all should work together.
Maybe the path you chose during the installation was not correct. Maybe you check with CM09 if the 3. Liga is already installed for your FIFA.

I can`t find any team of the 3rd liga in the CM09 anywhere...

Then reinstall the patch, be sure to select your main fifa-folder for the install (e.g C://Games/FIFA 09 ) .

I didn`t find the option to reinstall so I deleted the patch redownloaded and installed it again in the main fifa-folder but I still can`t find the 3rd liga...

I tell you, if you install the patch via .exe file correctly, the patch will work. Otherwise your OS maybe has some mysterious problems with .exe-files.

Now I download the patch the 3rd time to have another try to install it sucsessfully. If this won`t work again I hope we will be able to solve this problem on another way...Do you know TeamviewerQS?

I started a new carrer in the 3rd liga and everything seemed to be fantastic and great but now I usually would play a DFB-Pokal match but there is an error... how can I solve this problem?
Or is there an other patch?

What kind of error and which team did you choose?

I choose eintracht braunschweig(btsv) and when it starts to load for the DFB-Pokal match between me and 1860 Munich appears the error: fifa09.exe has got a problem and must be cancelled. please report microsoft about this problem

Hmm that's really obscure.
I have played DFB-Pokal now a dozen times and didn't get any error. I can't help you with this problem, maybe check the tournament in CM for any obvious bugs.
Maybe someone else got an idea or had a similar problem?

I already noticed this bug, but I don't know what caused it. When you look in CM at the country options for Germany you won't find any blank fields.

I noticed the problem for this and found the solution. In CM09 go to tournaments and set both the relegations tournaments to No country set. This should help. Also you could try making the relagiton names smaller.

Are you sure man? 'cause I had that ploblem too and I don't think that this patch is the problem. I installed german 3. Liga that was the last patch that I installed after a while I found the J-league and I imorted it and I had the same bug that you guys found. Then but I was messing 3 countries on my career. So I think there is something wrong with CM09 or provably the DB.

Please let me know how you installed the patch (.exe or .cmp) and if you already installed other patches beforehand.

with .exe

and after this as i saw that nothing works i installed with .cmp

and i installed some facepacks some abroads some balls and the patch "DFB-Pokal Erweiterung für Fifa09"

I you want to install a patch via .exe you should install it on a fresh FIFA, which means that there shouldn't be any patches (such as faces and so on) already installed. But if you have already installed those ones you should choose the .cmp version.

In your case I would either try to delete the complete FIFA-folder and reinstall the game an then install 3LP OR to open your database with Creation Master 09 and see if there are any obvious mistakes in your .db causing the error.

Btw, you don't necessarily need the DFB-Pokal Erweiterungspatch if you've installed the patch via .exe, anyway.
