So we are a big group of fans in the Czech Republic that have decide that it is time for the fans to take over. We have started a group on facebook and on many other laces where we are looking for dedicated fans that want to play the manager game in real life.

By each of us paying a small membership fee we will be able to raise enough money to buy a smaller club. The members will then decide everything concerning the club. Transfers, budgets, team colors etc, everything done via internet. Of course all games will be sent live on our webpage.

Doesnt mean you cant have more clubs like that... I do think the 40EUR is a little to much, but that is up to each individual.... Also easier to reach success in a smaller league. The German league is really hard and I think it will create problems sooner or later for the co-owners...

Nah... The team is from Cologne and I don't support anything from there. But hey Fortuna Köln played against two local teams last season.

It's a nice idea and in smaller countries it could go okay. But when you start talking about England, Spain, Italy, Germany etc, the money involved is simply too great for fans alone to be able to bridge the gap.

You are right. We are focusing on the Czech Republic since we do not need a huge amount of money to make an impact. With a solid base of fans we wold be doing really well and it is not an organizational nightmare since it is simplified in a country like this.

After one day we have 28 members that signed up on facebook. If anybody is interested please let me know. If you have Facebook then you can join the group Lets buy a soccer club.
