View Full Version : How to stop the Delap throw.....
Zakov 23-11-2008, 02:25:PM If you think the best way to stop Delap's super throw is to stand in front of him, think again.
Bear in mind this is just a young lad doing it, if it was Delap himself, that young man would've been out until supper time.

Johnny_Big 23-11-2008, 03:07:PM Ahaha, what a moron (H)
Bobby 23-11-2008, 05:44:PM Haha, oh man.
A girl on my local clubs women's side does that silly throw, it rarely works.

kramer11 23-11-2008, 10:12:PM That throw was deliberately low! Delap would simply sail the ball over the young nipper's head ;)
ShearerM4 23-11-2008, 10:18:PM Hmmm... need to pop Peter Crouch in front then don't we!
Help? 24-11-2008, 02:58:AM You are 4 days late Zakov

Zakov 24-11-2008, 12:20:PM didn't know it was there in the YT links thread, oh well, at least people who don't often visit that thread can see this. :D
newbie original 25-11-2008, 12:33:AM You had to have known that, at some point in history, that was going to happen to the guy defending that kind of throw in......
The guy taking the throw released the ball too early......
O-car 25-11-2008, 08:08:PM Thatīs what you get for standing infront of someone taking a throw in. A girl here in Iceland does that throw too, both for her club and for the national team
Azrael 25-11-2008, 09:28:PM What's the point of defending that? Either you get hit which is a pretty high sacrifice for what is merely a throw-in (and will likely result in another equally dangerous throw-in) or you don't,m making your being there useless.
Idiot kid.
Help? 25-11-2008, 09:53:PM We are all talking about defending those kind of throw-ins. How do you guys know that the defender knew what kind of throw was coming to him in the first place? I couldn't tell what he was doing, until the dude started doing flips and if it was me, i would just be frozen out by seeing somebody do flips on the sideline for some reason suddenly.

Dude, it probably wasn't the first time the guy did it in the game.
Bobby 26-11-2008, 07:10:AM Yea, people who use that throw tend to use the hell out of it.

Yes he did. You don't stand there when everyone is flooding the area without thinking it's gonna be launched like a rocket. There was no one around him, he was there to get hit. He might've thought it'd come with less power, but still, it's a stupid thing to do.
