HI ALL!

anyone else have this problem. I can connect to the ea server and pick an opponent , we both launch the game , but my screen remains black after that. After a while i press esc. and the strange thing happens that my fifa 2001 settings have changed and the computername (in multiplayer options) is the name of my opponent , so there had had to be some kind of mutual connection for a while, but that's all. I can't play direct ip either but that's due to my isp. Any suggestions ??

I have also the same problem but it works some time. Just wait 30 seconds and then press ESC. Try it again if it not works.

nee, probleem nog niet opgelost, en ea support had ik ook al gemaild. Die sturen zo'n standaard kut mailtje terug. Als jij wat meer weet laat het me horen dan OK

Sorry Nebo, message was a reply to jeroen, from whom i guess is Dutch. I said, that the problem still wasn't solved overhere and if he knew a little more he could tell me about it through icq. What u said about pressing esc. after u start a game, I tried that once, and in the game i could actually see my opponent machine name in multiplayer options, so there had had to be some connection at least for a while, but my opponent wasn't there, i was just me against the computer, pfff....

I have exactly the same problem !! I still haven't solved it. Did you solve the problem already ????? I have e-mailed ea-support but I still haven't got an answer.

Every time I log on at EA.com and press the matchup button all I get is Java void.

Does anyone know what to do?

I sort of have the same problem except I GET STUCK WHENN I LOG ON THEN I GET A MASSEAGE FORM THE PAGE SAYING CANNOT NOT CONNECT WHJATS THE PROBLEM CAN ANYBODY PLASE HELP ME.

I get exactly, EXACTLY the same problem as portugal2004 when I try to click the matchup button in EA.com
Happens every time, How do I make it stop!!
Its really p*ssing me off now....

God, no-one knew what i was on about at the matchmaker service. I clcik start game, black screen, red loading bar then it just jams on the side select screen till the other player gets pissed off and leaves!! VERY FRUSTRATING!! Anyone tried e-mailing EA???
