Hey guys I'm new to the forum

I recently got turned on to FM08 but I do have a little problem.

Is it possible to be able to pick more than 3 countries in the beginning? I want to be able to start with a small club and then move on to bigger clubs eventually without already "knowing" where those bigger clubs will be (in which countries).

It seems like it takes some mystery and fun out of the game.

Am I missing something? :blush:

Of course it is, you can pick how many countries you want, it just slows up the game... But are you having problems choosing more than 3, is that it?

Yes, in the opening screen when you're adding a New Manager it asks you to pick three countries. How do I add more?

You have to "exit the wizard"...The assisting 'wizard' that helps you create the game only offers three possibilities, but if you click "exit the wizard" you'll be able to choose much more countries

This is somewhat bittersweet news because I have a file that I achieved a lot with a club. Time to start over I guess.

One more question if you don't mind, because you seem to be a veteran at this.

If I start out with a small club in a small country, and I do a good job, will offers for a new job at a bigger club eventually start to come in or do I usually have to apply?

Depends on your popularity. You can always keep an eye for job openings, Just keep track of.. managers that are under pressure and... well, they usualy get fired after a while. Then just apply for a job and wait for their answer. Havent played the last few months but i think there's an option that informs you about clubs looking for new managers
