Hi mates. Thanks to fifaccitiu who found out the file used this year for armbands I have been able to make armbands different for each team with the same method used in FIFA 08. You can see the result in the screenshot.

So, as you see, it will be possible to do an Armband Master 09. However there is a small problem: the file used for the arbmand this year is the same of the white right wrist tape. What does this mean? This mean that, when we change armband texture, also that tape (every colour, not only white one) will change accordingly and this is something I cannot change for the moment. So all the players having a right wrist tape will have instead a tape that is the same of the armband of that team. The only way to avoid this is simple: to delete the right wrist tape from the model. In this way you will not see any player with right wrist tape, but you will also not encounter this problem. What do you think? I think we can sacrifice the tape for the armband :D

With my knowledge about it NO. This is the problem: in FIFA 08 there were 2 different textures for armband and wrist tape. This year there is only the same texture for both the 2 things :( I can change the name of the texture the game searches for and this is the way I can make the game use an armband for each kit. But I cannot duplicate the texture reading :(

Maybe there is a way, but I don't know it!
However: is it so a big problem to delete the right wrist tape?

No no. Simply when you install the patch through Armband Master it will automatically delete the right wrist tape from the model. If then, you uninstall the patch, the right wrist tape will come back ;)

Maybe you can make a CMS-compliant model using RD86's model for boots and deleting the offending wrist-band? I use that model for boots and my boots are the CMS standard anyway...

I personally don't mind if you remove the wrist tape. Is it possible to make two patches, one with and the other without it. Then people would have a choice.

You don't know nothing about the history of this patch, about how it has to be done and nothing about the editing history in general. So please don't talk about something you don't know, thanks :)

If there are people who want untucked jerseys and download a patch for it, surely there are more people who want a different armband for every team given that also editer, in this way, can make a lot of different armbands to install with the tool. The only problem is that a tool is necessary because the way I put armbands to teams is taken from FIFA 07 where there was a small file for armbands in the kit fsh (so for each kit). This file is not present in original FIFA 09 kits so a tool like Armband Master can take a league or some leagues and give all the kits of those teams the file they need. If you don't do a thing like that the patch makes the armband looking red-green, that is "missing texture".
Finally I know Rinaldo probably more of any of you here and I know very well what and when he can do things. Indeed this is not a priority neither for him neither for me: it's only an opportunity and surely Rinaldo will adapt the old program to the new FIFA in the future!

Last year I saw some armband patches after the publication of the tool and there were also about 40-50 armbands with the tool itself. So there was a production of armbands by editers. I'm not so stupid to make a patch and to ask Rinaldo for a tool if the tool is not used at all. And sincerely I and fifaccitiu tried to find the armband file and the way to do the patch only because people asked about it, not because it was our priority. Last year I did the same for untucked jersey for example: I did the patch because lots of people asked for it. Or this year for the demo we resized the ball because lots of people asked for it.

Finally I ask you to leave this thread if you don't like the idea of a patch for it. There are plenty of thread to see (and to open :rofl:) and to post something constructive. Here you posted nothing constructive...

So we do what we can do, let to EA SPORTS and to their intelligence what we cannot do.

No, rest assured it's not anything to do with 'revenge', I understand that you can't do anything about EA's stupidity, I just don't think armbands are worth bothering with. My opinion, that's all. Obviously, I'm in the minority... I didn't mean to offend anyone or their work, that's not what I'm about, so if I have, I apologise.

As for your comment on the ball, wouldn't it be possible to make at least some of them look like footballs instead of basketballs? I don't agree with you when you say you don't notice it after a while, I still notice it and I've been playing the game a hell of a lot.
