Hi I just got a new FIFA 09 (Location: Canada) and installed it.

I have downloaded the official patch for it (fifa_2009_ukmx_patch2) which is listed as North American version, but I can't install it.

I am attaching exact screenshot of error message I get.

In case picture won't load, my message is:

"Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match."


My game is an original, just purchased New.
It is a fresh install without any sort of Mods at all. (Original EXE as well)


Q: Is it possible that since game was purchased just few days ago that it already is updated, that's why it won't install the update?

Q: How do I check which version of the game I have?


I am also having issues with setting up a controller.
I tried two controllers:

1. Xbox 360 for Windows (Controller)
2. Logitech RumblePad2

(Right side: RT-Right trigger and RB-Right Bumper won't allow me to be set in Controller settings, they function during the game but during controller setup I can't customize these two buttons.

Same goes for two buttons located in same spot on the logitch controller.

the crack fix has been altered, therefore you get "Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match."

i think you need original fifa

he doesnt need original fifa, he just needs to burn fifa to a disc as an iso & run the game from the dvd drive or install the official ea updates before he applies the crack.

hope i dont get to **** for this post, i bought my fifa, nhl, madden & call of duty 4 so i could play online.

i only know this because my boy cracks games.
