Benzenma sucks he is by far the most overrated striker atm he plays in a joke league on a team thats won like 20 league titles in a row cuase all the other teams suck theres only 1 other good team in ligue 1 in marseille come to real leaguelike epl or spain then u can really judge how good he is when facing the tops clubs in world and pato is decent nothing special yet

Both are very talented, but Benzema has yet to prove himself in a 'better' league.

Given current form I'd say Pato. Benzema's definitely a talent though, we've seen what he's capable of in the CL, and he's close to a move to a major team (aka City)

going by that theory... All Lyon players SUCK to the core. yes even juninho, (arguably the best at free kicks in the world)

Lyon do not suck last year Manu score last minute goal in one game and only beat us in he other because Crisiano Ronaldo is so good if he didnt play in your team they would not have won th champions league:nape: what about the seasons lyon beat real madrid 3-0 then 2-0 again the next season just to prove it wasnt a fluke lyon just do not have the funds to keep their players so they all go to the bigger clubs were the money is if lyon kept their players they could easily take manu any day

Benzema for sure...the only bright spot in the French NT during EURO 2008. France has a very talented squad anyway with besides Benzema also the likes of Nasri, Gourcuff, Ben Arfa etc.

I see a limit in quality in Benzema, i think he will be a superstar but he won't ever grow to be the best player in the world, while Pato has that potential. Remember this is Pato's first full season with Milan, and he's been in better form than both Ronaldinho and Kaka' this year. But there's no doubt that Benzema is a top class talent.

If they 'export' them, they 'produce' them. You can't call them ****. They first become 'stars' there. It's another topic if they don't have money too keep them.

I have to agree, until Benzema proves himself with the French NT or in a better league, I will be skeptical. He didn't do much with the time he played in Euro2008, though that French NT made a lot of good players look bad.

And I think what people are trying to say is that "playing well" in the French league doesn't necessarily mean they will be superstars in top leagues. They certainly could be, as many French players have done, but they are unproven until they move.

Totally agree. For those who think Benzema still has to show his skills, when he gets to a superior league, he won't fail. Mark my words. Benzema is a very complete forward, total killer instinct in there..

Even though Pato is doing awesome this year, and he's still very young (18, i think?)

They're both fantastic players, Pato with a little more potential imo, Benzema I'd say has to move to another league to grow some more..not that Lyon isn't a great club...

So I think Pato is better(or can be better), which by no extent means Benzema is "bad"...
