Alexei Jeremenko Junior is a young Russian player who signed for FC Jokerit of the Finnish League just a while ago. He has played the last 2 years for Metz in the French League. Do you know him? His father Alexei Senior has played many years for HJK Helsinki and Alexei Senior also played on the Soviet Union's national team a few times. It's gonna be funny when father and son meet in the next Helsinki derby match !

hey.. I don't recall I know him, he's been playing in France, for god's sakes! If for anything, your Finnish league gives a lot of playing time to juniors, and I really doubt he will outplay Ruutu-type, or Laine-type players and get any significant time in your league..
PS. why did Mischuk leave Jokerit, or whatever team he was trying out for? He now plays in Russian 1st division, so I am wondering how bad was he or were there other problems that got in a way?

Mischuk wasn't good enough he was sent back to Russia. He didn't even get a second goalkeeper spot at FC Jokerit. FC Jokerit has three good goalkeepers.
Pasi Laaksonen - appeared for Finland's national team. Finland's 7th choice keeper. Take into regard we have a lot of good keepers that play abroad.
Mikko Rahkamaa - Second goalkeeper of Finland's under 21. Will appear for Finland in u21 world cup in Argentina.
Georgi Nikuradze- Georgian keeper. Has appeared for Georgia's u21 team and may be Georgia's future national keeper.

DUH, if he would be good enough, he'd either stay in Finland, or play in a respective club in Russia.. He's playing in russian 1st division, a step lower than the Russian Permiership...
he does have the potential, though....

Jeremenko Jr. joined Jokerit's Football club not the Ice-Hockey club. hehe I heard he's played for Russia's under 21 a few times.

OHHHH, a soccer club.. DUH, it said FC Jokerit.. Heh, I have no idea why I thought it was hockey... Maybe because I never thought of teams having junior teams, like in hockey.
Heh, well, in this case, I hadn't heard much about Jeremenko (I think it would be spelled Yeremenko it he were in US or England) either... Most of Russians who leave Russia at 18-19 years or younger NEVER turn out.. Most of them leave to countries like Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Switzerland... They think that leaving Russia would be to their "living" benefit.. But the situation is changing, as ALTHOUGH Russia does not have living conditions of that England, Germany, Finland, France have, BUT staying in Russia might benefit players materially and morally.. Materially -- Russia now offers good wages to sporstmen. Morally -- there are relatives who are in Russia and playing in that kind of environment when you are under 20 years old is always pleasant.
how old is Yeremenko and when did he move out of Russia (if you know)?

I don't know I think Yeremenko has played a few games for Russia u21 and he is expected to become a real star. He has played two yrs for Metz mostly for the reserves but played about 10 senior league matches last yr if I'm not mistaken.
