After the ruling that is likely to mean that all restrictions on foreign players will have to be dismantled, the Milan vice-president got straight on the case. Adriano Galliani has dispatched a letter to the Italian football federation (FIGC), signed by the club's five non-EU players.
In it, Galliani tells the FIGC that if they do not abide by the new ruling the club will take legal action. He names "Andriy Shevchenko, Nelson de Jesus Silva, (known as "Dida"), Sergio Claudio dos Santos, (Serginho), Zvonimir Boban and José Vitor Roque Junior" who all underwrite the letter - and urges the FIGC to speedy action.
