Ajax just contracted a new defender by the name of Maxwell Scherer Andrade in short 'Maxwell'. He's being bought from Cruzeiro in Brazil.
Who is this guy, I know he's 19 and very talented so they say but that's all I know from the media. I don't think he played for the first team at Cruzeiro but in a youth team or smth is that true?
I'm curious so if you know anything about this guy who signed for a 5 year contract with Ajax let me know :D

If the latest results by Brazil are anything to go by, are there any talented Brazilians left out there :rolleyes: :)

yeah i know him, he haven't played many games in the first team but in a youth team,and he is very good he is the most talented player of a brazilian team wich isn't from rio de janeiro or sao paulo (cruzeiro is from belo horizonte).so it doesn't bother that he haven't played many games in the first (ronaldo didn't also before he came to PSV).

btw , he plays in the brazilian national team for players under 19 ,so....

Cheers guys, I've read that he was at a youth tournament last week and he was proclaimed best player of that tournament.
Ajax noticed the way he played and signed him a week later according to Cruzeiro.
Ajax however did not confirm it oficially?
