What version of Winning Eleven or PES would you recommend for PC? I am fed up with 2009.

PES5/6.

Couple them with Kitserver and a nice patch ( see here : http://www.pesgaming.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163 ), its footie nirvana (Y)

I still play PES6 occasionally.

PES 2009 Sucks.

Play PES 5.....Its is probably the Best PES Game ever for me and it defeated that years FIFA version hands down.

I've placed PES since WE8 version and at that time I played both PES and FIFA.
I loved PES6 the most. I've installed mega patch for that game recently and it was really fun.
I don't like PES2008 or 2009 so I play FIFA now.

Thanks, was doin some checkin around and I think am goin to go with Pes 6 as it still has alot of easily available for it in terms of editing. Will uninstall Pes 2009 at the earliest oppurtunity. Poor effort this game was.

It's been said, patch it to get the licenses and stuff, and you'll be playing the best PC football simulation ever.

In terms of gameplay, PES6 is the most enjoyable. However in terms of editing, I had the most fun editing and patching PES4. Back then I used to do everything myself. Then with PES5/6 I just got lazy and downloaded patches. I think the last time this forum actually had any significant traffic was when PES4 was popular. Then all the editors, especially the kitmakers, left.

I second that. The only thing I don't like about PES2009 is, sometimes players go through each other like they are ghosts or something which is ridicilous to me! That is something Konami consider fixing it asap! But other than that PES 2009 is the game to play!

Pro Evolution Soccer 5/6 are the best games !

so pes 5 vs pes 6?

I just reinstalled pes6 and though the game may be better than 2009 the gfx are so poor and teh game seems to run real fast..(in fact to my amazemant I actually scored a 30 yard curler into top corner with gilberto silva for arsenal in the 2nd minute with my first shot in the game for like almost 3 years.haha...cant do them in 2009 much)

Anyway is pes5 better than 6..whats the main diferences i cant remember..I have it somewhere in my cupboard...I think?

PES5 is amazing but the thing that pissed me off about it was the constant fouls being called by the ref. That ruined a perfect game.

And yes freekicks can be scored waay too easily...its shocking to say the least, and the lofted through ball works too well ( just like PES 2009 ).

PES6 is better but the thing it doesn't have is the heaviness feel of the ball. Its too light compared to PES5 where it feels heavier to strike, especially when u volley.

i prefer PES6 as it is has the better balance of pros and cons and moreover, it has my favourite mode, Random Selection Match (Y)

So what one can you score the best goals?

I'm sure it was pes5 I was always scoring epic volleys from all angles outside the box?



Anyway, I have just installed the mancinin pes6/fm09 patch and it must be the greatest thing out there?

I dont know wether to bother with 5 now or not?


Has anyone else got the mancini patch?..is it just me or doe sit chaneg the gameplay also...it seems much better, slower and player collisions more realistic and running/dribbiling more smooth?

Or am I just imagining?
