(As you'll have noticed, this hasn't gone on the front page yet as we haven't had it confirmed by EA yet. My source is usually reliable, but we'll see.)

According to the aformentioned source of mine, EA have signed up Limp Bizkit and Faithless for their 2002 series of games. He seemed to think that Limp Bizkit are more likely to do one of the other sports (Madden, for instance), while Faithless will provide the theme music for FIFA.

Good news, if this is proven to be correct, as only the tone-deaf would deny that Faithless make quality music.

Sigh. Limp Bizkit's genius is limited to William Orbit's reworking of My Way. Download it and be inspired by the synth breaks and the tempering of the chorus.

Faithless, however, have come up with such brilliance as Insomnia, We Come One, God Is A DJ, Salva Mea... need I go on?

Of the two, I know which one I'd go for.

Limp Bizkit is alright but there is too much noise in the kind of music they make, Faithless make very good music, I still think Apollo four forty make the best gaming music!!!

I hate GreenDay. Limp Bizkit rocks. i dont know how they are going to use that in the game, because all of limp bizkits song have curses, and the edited versions just wouldnt sound right in the game.

Limp Bizkit are ok... I would really like their song "My way or the Highway" in the game... It does sound as a PERFECT soundtrack for a game like FIFA 2002.. Only that the sh words will have to be edited.. like in the Chumbawumba song for WC98 -- the part "we did some wisky drinking" wasn't there as it was, in my opinion, propaganding alcohol...


Other good soundtracks would be.. "Heads Explode" is a good one, forgot who sings it.. Paparoach is good, BUT they use too much profanity (just like l-i-m-p bizkit). "It's Not Enough" by Gravity Kills would be a good one, too.. "The Reckoning" by Godhead is not bad, but it is a lot goth-like, and that is not something EA would like to see as a soundtrack..

Another song that would be awesome as a soundtrack is Mudshovel by Staind.. Staind as a band ROCKS lately with their new album out on May 22nd, but Mudshovel is their older song, from 2 years ago, I believe.

"Aliens" -- Pennywise

"Crawling" -- Linkin PArk, as much as I love this song, it's too heavy to be a soundtrack. But would be a good choice nonetheless.

"One Step Closer" -- Linkin PArk

"Your Disease" -- Saliva, AWESOME, does remind me of l-i-m-p..

"No One" -- Cold, also a good one...

"Glass Jaw" -- Systematic, THIS BAND ROCKS! THer first CD went out on May 22nd, and they really impressed a whole lot of people.. This song "Glass Jaw" would be AWESOME for the soundtrack, but not as the primary soundtrack. Just as secondary song... For the primary, I would choose "My Way" from the l-i-m-p bizkit..

Correct, the music doesn't matter but the gameplay does. And I think there will be tools to import your own music.There is a mystical thing called internet where some chosen ones can find music to I think they call it "download" :D :D

I did create my own soundtrack for NHL 2001, though.. Kid Rock with "Cowboy", Scorpions and Berlin Symphony with "Hurricane", and a few russian ones... Sounded good.
