Anyway, on to the news. It looks like its gonna be Negredo plus 25M for Villa sometime next week. I would really like to get Xabi Alonso if that was a real possibility but with Negredo going to Valencia that deal is going to get tougher....Althought I did hear Benitez had some interest in....wait for it.......SAVIOLA!!! haha...I dont know why? but hey if he wants him that could cheapen our deal for Xabi..

Also I hear strong rumors about Maicon now, that would slide Ramos to the middle where he is better according to some, and that would leave Ramos and Pepe in the middle of the defense. If, and that's a big if, Pepe can stay injury free, then they could be great, but then, they both have a lot of discipline problems, so we will need very good backups. I think Garay has the potential, but he needs to pick it up.

I am thinking, that Florentino is securing all the big transfers now and gonna sign defensive players last, at least i hope. i hope he doesnt neglect defense like he did last time around...

And about Wesley adn VdV. I fully expect Wesley to stay, while VdV will be shipped out if we can get anything near 10M; Huntelaar is being put on the block too and i dont know why, I think he was pretty decent last year and has lots of room to grow into another RVN which is never bad..........

I don't think he is a bad player, but again he was complaining about being on the bench which could be more of the reason why he gets sold than anything else. I think he is an excellent finisher and would be a great player for a team that is built around him which won't happen here. Anyway if we get Villa than he will be behind him and Higuain. I don't think he will be sold but he could, infact most of the Dutch players could leave.

Actually Butrageño just hinted at the fact that if Villa comes in Raul will be a bench guy behind Villa, and Higuain....At this point i would rate him lower than even Huntelaar, as far as forwards go. LB? I have seen Ramos play LB and hell no to that. And we can't compare Ramos of Spain to Madrid, different midfield with our giving the ball away far too easily. Hopefully with Lass and another CM (I'm hoping Xabi) that can be corrected but regarless right now we have 3 CBs, if we sign a RB we take care of two positions that need upgrades with just 1 player and that is Maicon. We also need a LB, I would take Capedilva in a heartbeat even with his age and see how Marcelo develops.

Real Madrid midfielder Ruben de la Red will miss the whole of the 2009/10 season as doctors have still not pinned down why he collapsed in a match in October, he said in a newspaper interview published on Wednesday.


"What I have doesn't have a name and as of today there is no concrete answer," De la Red, 24, told Marca sports daily, adding he still hoped to make a comeback at some point.

The former Spain international was running back towards the halfway line when he suddenly fell face first and lay motionless. He was taken off on a stretcher and regained consciousness in the dressing room but has not played since.

I think what a lot of people are missing is Perez's reasoning behind it. The first time he came to Madrid they were in debt. He sorted it and left them well in profit. Now, again, he arrives and they are in debt.

It might seem strange to increase the debt, but it still isn't even anywhere near Man Utd levels and Madrid have a bigger turnover than Utd to service any debt. Perez will make millions from these players off the pitch. It doesn't need to be a success on the pitch to make sense off it. But even so, how can having Ronaldo, Kaka and Benzema make your team less likely to win?
