It is rather interesting to see that the fifa series got better bit by bit as the years went by, World cup 98 was the big one which was liked by everyone, then came fifa99 which is by far the best of the series. Superior graphix (for its time) and everything. That was the peak, then the series started to crumble. Fifa 2000 in my opinion was a huge dissapointment, The only thing that I liked about it was the ball physics and all. After all the realism seen in Fifa 98, 99, and World cup 98, I was shocked to see this game which had wrong positions for Players, (having white players looking black and vice versa) as well as missing teams. Euro 2000 was also a huge dissapointment. I mean, they appeared to have made the Classic teams so accurate, but they screwed up on just about all the players of teams that weren't in the world top 15 or so.... Fifa 2001 had better be good, because I see the decline of the best football sim. Just hope the same thing doesn't happen to CM...
