What is the quality needed for untuck shirts patch for FIFA10?

Edit : I did a few research and based on the look of PS3 image, I thing I know how it looks, and I will release my own version of untuck shirt for FIFA10.

My goodness after all these years EA keep letting us all down by putting every single year the same game with some graphic improvements, and i´m playing Fifa games mostly for editing than any other reason but this is really disappointing!

Luckily, in FIFA10, they add extra mesh line in front shirt. I'm still finding a way on how to add more mesh at the back, if possible. Only then it will looks smoother.

bt i have 1 question......... and that is hw do u edit the mesh using blender, save it and export it as .o file using blender. cause so far i have had no luck in editing the mesh using blender and than exporting it in .o format to use it for my game (am talkng abt my untucked patch for fifa 09)

also i tried to extract the m200.o file from fifa 09 version of xbox 360 bt when i inserted the game in my pc, i saw all the files as music files

I use Exporter function. I did a simple python script programming to export to Rhino Point File vertex.:browsmiley:

Outsider87, I study a lot of video available in youtube including promo/official video from EA Sports, even PS3 version have similar bugs or problem (but minimal). I suspect, Next Gen of FIFA09 and FIFA10 has more mesh/vertices than PC version. If only I can add more verts to m200__.o file, by hex editing or something, I may try to make it more better. Considering the limitation, that is why I give up on make it perfect and choose to let this version go to the public. But maybe another version will come out later on, should there is a need to do just that.

Actually, I like my version 1 in the video, because it reduce the problem even more. But, seems like in FIFA10, lighting effect had been redone (maybe), so, another problem raised, i.e., in max zoom in (like in replay), you will see inside the shirts become total transparent. No wonder why fifa10 m200__.o files now have extra verts on short hand and shorts to close it and hide the ugliness of back shirt and shorts (just like a cylinder). Look back at FIFA09, and focus on the thigh and the shorts, maybe you will understand what I mean.

Regarding sponsors at the bottom back, I think I can solve it by editing UV positioning but I'm afraid it will looks weird, but worth to try.

As for my own solution for my malaysia league patch, I will redo all kits with sponsors at the back and move it up a bit, and as for the tucked (original FIFA10 model), I think the solution is to reedit UV and/or use this version but hide the rest of the bottom line into the shirts, just like tuck our shirt into the shorts. So far that is what I have in mind.

use File Master 10 for FIFA10. I've been informed that in Demo you import to zdata_02.big, but as for FIFA10 full version, you must import to zdata_04.big.

Also, to make it looks better, use body_nm.tga.

I think by having all 4 files (mentioned in my quick info.txt) imported to zdata_02.big (or zdata_04.big for fifa10 final) will solve the problem.


But actually I don't really know if that is not the case. As for me, it works fine. Even on distance player.

In my opinion, as long as we use all 4 m2xxxx.o files, we will achieve similar quality visual display like in PES2009/2010 series. Of course, some say CPU will have to work hard on decent PC (pre-core duo series)

i had the same probelm wid my untucked shirts for fifa 07 and i found a solution to that. i can fix ths problem and will post my version of unucked shirts in my thread and will try to fix this problem as well ;) :cheers:

well u can use this atch by manually serchng files and importing them using big gui. Than susing cm 10 rebuild the fat and bh files or use the fat bh regenrater prvided to download by outsider.

We should wait for Outsider87 kit switcher for FIFA10. He did it with fifa09 and I believe he can do it again with fifa10.

Outsider, can you add more variety of shirts, instead of just three, tucked, untucked, semi-untucked. For example, you can let us decide how many kit models can be use. In my mind right now is semi-untuck left, semi-untuck right, or semi-untuck back only.

Also, shades variety, if possible, so instead of only one body_nm.tga, we can add 2-3 body_nm.tga. Well, just an idea.

I have this in mind:
1. Edit UV position to reduce the stretch effect;
2. Edit all kits with sponsors at the bottom shirt by moving it a bit higher than normal.
3. Add more vertices to part052 and part053 if I can find a way.

Has anyone play Kriket, NFL, NHL, FIFA street 3 for PC? Does this game has player model in .o files too? If they do, why don't you send it to me for me to take a look at it. I don't know yet what to do with it, but I have a couple of ideas in my mind.:bouncy:

As for the box effect on that pictures, I have no idea why it happens. But even in DEMO version (unedited), I can clearly see the box effect, and since I use m200__.o model from FIFA10 demo, may be that is the reason it happens.

I've tried it, and I like it. Good patch. That thing with the text stretching at the bottom of the jersey should ideally be fixed, but I quite like it anyway.

I don't know. Close end version is actually using original FIFA10 demo without any change on normalization (in oedit recalculate normals). Last time, I do recalculate normals and ended up box shadow.

As for open ended version. I did normal recalculation using oedit on first earlier version, and I use it as a base for editing.

Yes, that is a little thing about lower details. If that is the case, just overwrite m200__.o instead. But of course, players will be back to normal. Maybe other solution?

If you're using my untuck shirt, actually I resize the ankle tapes and make it smaller. Hope it looks better and on the proper size as per leg length.

Search in FM10, make sure you type "*.o" (without the punctuation) and click search.

I would prefer an ankle tape just like the PS3 version: more attached to the leg and a little bit thinner, not wider... The wrist band should be larger, I think... Anyway, good luck to it!

u will need the following :

> Biggui
> Fsh and Big files regenrator. (i suggest u use the regenarator by Outsider ;))

Nw open zdata 04 and replace the m200__.o file with the 1 sketik provided. b4 u do so make sure u check that whether the file is compressed or nt. if it is compressed than compress it after the replacing or if decompressed than u need nt bother as it is already decompressed when imported. as for all the other m2xxx__.o files u will have to serch for them urself as i cant help rite nw. repeat the process of replacing the original m2xxx__.o file with the 1s u downloaded. compress them as well if they were compressed b4 replacing or if decompressed dnt bther as they already are ;). next click on rebuild. note that nt all the m2xxx__.o files r in the same zdata so u will have to click rebuild every time u import and replace ea's original files. than open regenrator rebuild ur files and open ur fifa and enjy

i repeate the important parts. make sure u bck up the files first. than dnt forget to check that whether the files are compressed or nt b4 importing the new files. cmpress the new files if compressed b4 or let them be if decmpressed. rebuild each and every zdata after importing files in it by clicking rebuild. than just rebuild ur files and enjy the gme ;)

I create my own patch and edited from scratch using original fifa10 m200__.o file. So that means no.

But you can edited it on your own for your own use. Mix with someelse work and publish it to the internet as my own will only create problem I'm afraid.

all credit goes t skeptik my friend here. i edited the original m200__.o file, edited the ankle tapes 2 make them smaller and bigger and also make the wristband bigger and exported them as rhino points using oedit. than i simply imported the ankle tapes and the wristbands to skeptiks untucked shirts (bth clsed bttom and open bottom).

Well you're right about that. We know for sure all kits in all FIFA series for PC are are designed for tucked shirt as intended by EA. Of course as an excellent graphic designer (EA part) they ensure the kits are logically tucked. Just look at the kit with advertisement on the back of most of team in Hyundai A-League, as an examples.

Should they consider giving us option for tucked/untucked/semi-tucked shirt later, I assume they must redraw the kit to make it more presentable.

In our case, and at the moment, if any of us want to use my patch, you have no choice but to reedit the kit and move the advertisement a little bit higher. Experiment with it, and I believe it'll be awesome.:biggrinx:

I think is quite good already except RAM, quite small for nowadays computing and graphic intensive game.

Maybe you try using only m200__.o and see if it okay. But of course, since I didn't provide medium and lower 3d model, I suggest you editing pc_hi and/or pc_low set up file.

I think there may be a problem, I tryed doing everything it said in the Readme but everytime I ran the game it would crash on loading the match.

Would someone please be kind enough to make a step-by-step instruction manuel for us idiots? =).

P.S. this is not a one off, I'm not just here to find this out then leave, I've been crawling around these forums for ages but I've never wanted to make a post before... I do now.. so.. I will stick arond I guarentee. =). Plus your a nice group of lads.

This small m200__.o replacement is for fifa10, not for fifa09, so I hope you're using it on fifa10 pc.

If you play fifa10 full/final version, you should use FM10 and placed it in zdata_04.big. But make sure IT REPLACE m200__.o and the rest of the files. If FM10 didn't ask you to do replacement during first time import, I think you have problem.
Check your FM10/FileM10, goto Options. make sure 'preserved path when importing' are UNCHECKED.

Okay, hope you can now successfully replace original m200__.o. But don't expect too high. By using my untucked shirt patch, ALL players and referee will wear untuck shirt. just wait for kit switcher for fifa10 by outsider87.
Hopefully, not too soon.

To all who think Shader 2 makes FIFA 10 sucks, that's all bull****. I've done some work with 3D and never thought of this. The difference between Shader 2 and 3 are lighting,texture and details only. Now,all we need to do, is change the scripted animation that makes it sucks bawls a lot.

i put only the first two files and it works better now, but can only see the untucked kit from close in but no problem. if u can fix that will be great.

Nope. We can change it as we pleased. I've created some custom weapon for Crysis, CSS and L4D. I don't think it's hard to edit the mesh with oedit and XSI mod tool.

Sorry for the confusion. Yes the model patch is the same. 100% similar to the final version. However, this package comes with bescene.mod that been HEX-edited so that we can play using all three different models patch that I've created. this is for those who want to use it now, and can't wait for official release of kitswitcher. Well, I'm one of them.

Again, it is similar except it comes with bescene.mod that will be copied to data folder as bescene.cs. Walla, it will show up alright.

yeah, so I have the new bescene.cs in data folder, the .o files in main folder, game looks the same, everyone tucked in. is there something i did incorrectly?

You can`t have tucked,semi and untucked at the same time in game, ATM! can you ?

1. Restore original zdata_04.big. Don't install m200__.o and other file INTO zdata_04.big. In other word, use original zdata_04.big
2. Unzip the zip file - extra pack mentioned above. This will create 3 .O files, 1 bescene.mod and 1 bescene.orififa10, and 2 .BAT command files.
3. Run use_untuck.bat to create additional u2xx.o, s2xx.o and to copy bescene.mod into folder /data/bescene.cs

that is all.

IMPORTANT. Revert back to original zdata_04.big. Only then you can that extra package more useful. Hope this instruction are more clearer.

Remember bescene.cs? Find it in BIG file, and delete it. Only bescene.cs.
I can't remember which zdata file, but with FileM10, you can do searching for the file.

Hope this time it works.

none of what has been said makes any sense, put blah here & blah there.
delete blah, edit the cfg file.

That's based on lineup, so every time you see, for example, always the left wing back of home team wearing untucked, the left wing back of away team wearing semi-untucked and so on. That's also why a Model Switcher exists :D

& copy it to fifa 10/data folder & overwrite.

2. run untucked.bat place all the o files in the main directory (ea sports/fifa 10)

3. open file master 10 & locate zdata02.big & look for D:/cod/ReleasePC/PS2/pc/obj/compressed/bescene.cs & delete it.

4. regenerate fat & bh files & play fifa 10. ( 2 or 3 players will have semi tucked,
2 fully untucked, the rest tucked in)

Adding more columns to database is useless if you don't recode the whole game exe: a thing that, of course, we can't do :D
