View Full Version : Performance decreases with more matches!
hesham_eraqi 05-10-2009, 08:24:PM Strange problem here happens to me..
My first match after opening windows runs very very smooth
but with time the game becomes choppier, with the 4th match it becomes very laggy!
The game works so fine again if I restarted windows!
Any suggestion what could be the reason behind this problem :icon_spin:?
Have anyone else experiencing this problem with the game?
Antigonos 05-10-2009, 10:39:PM Can you post your system to help you??
xelasan 05-10-2009, 10:53:PM I have something similar, after couple games its start lagging too
my system specs-
MS Windows XP Profesional SP3
AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core Processor, 2.0GB Ram, Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT (1gb)
hesham_eraqi 05-10-2009, 11:34:PM Thanks for your help guys ;)
I found more people in other forums facing the same problem.
For me, Uninstalling the AntiVirus Prog. has helped in decreasing this lag.
But the problem still exist specially with long passes.
Thanks again ;)
TechGuyatNY 06-10-2009, 01:54:AM your computer is overheating and therefore slowing down. the same thing happens with me while playing GTA on my old computer. it would run smoothly for approx 30 minutes and start gradually lagging unless i restart the computer or spray the interior with cold duster spray
try running in medium or low graphics and kill all your other processes. this will reduce the heat
fungus303 06-10-2009, 04:08:AM i have the same, after 2-3 matches the game lag, but not much for me, just little from time to time.
FIFA 10 has major bugs in manager mode, players dissaperse
some passes dont count and other stuff.
We just have to wait for PATCH 1 from EA sports :)
Antigonos 06-10-2009, 01:12:PM Yeah me too....I have the same problem on high graphics and high resolution.
My system specs are:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 Ghz
Nvidia GTS250 1gb
Ram 4gb 800mhz
PES 2010 Demo and pes 2009 i am running them at high graphics and resolution and the fps are 55+...
I cant understand that the fifa on pc hasnt got good graphics but is very heavy game..
silvone 06-10-2009, 01:49:PM I also have this problem! try to edit the cfg files, in c/program files/ea sports/data/cmn or set a high priority for fifa in task manager:ctrl+alt+del in the same time, go to processes-set priority-high, and it could help.Another trick-disable floppy like this:Right click on my computer-properties-hardware-device manager-disable floppy(available for XP).I hope it helped you ..See ya
xelasan 06-10-2009, 06:31:PM thanx a lot guys for help, will try it out tonight ;)
rusturecber 06-10-2009, 08:34:PM I had the same problem and I had tried many workarounds, finally found the solution.
Here is what you need to do, go to guru3d.com and download nvidia drivers 190.03, it fixes all fps problems.
This solution may not apply to every user. Your system might be overheating too. If this doesn't work, check for overheating of the cpu or the gpu.
Antigonos 06-10-2009, 10:34:PM My cpu temperature is 55C....
rusturecber 06-10-2009, 10:52:PM it is not much. try to update your graphics card drivers
My cpu temperature is 55C....
KaiBa_Mx 06-10-2009, 11:51:PM what is the themperature from you graphic card?
fungus303 06-10-2009, 11:56:PM My game lags a little, nothing major. My temps are good.
quad @ 3.30ghz @ idle 40c, full temp 50c
HD4870 @ 820/1100 @ 40c idle, full temp 45c
(i got big OC cooler for my GPU and CPU)
It's the game thats the problem, not anything else for me.
Antigonos 07-10-2009, 12:26:PM yeah i think that if i download the new drivers my problem will be solved because i have very old version of drivers...........
fungus303 07-10-2009, 12:54:PM Bro, you should always update graphic driver and latest direct-X, when you install a new game :)
Antigonos 07-10-2009, 12:59:PM Ok mate....but i have installed older drivers because cm09 was crashed and a blue screen was appeared..........
fungus303 07-10-2009, 02:51:PM ok :)
szysiek83 29-11-2009, 05:24:PM Hi lads!!
I've got the same problem!
Maybe the reason is that I'm playing fifa10 on my laptop - but i've got the latest drivers of nvidia for mobile gpu (its GF 8600M GT) - it's not bad gpu, and i'm not sure that my cpu/gpu is overheating - its quite cool as for laptop.
Furthermore, I've noticed this problem in 3rd season of manager mode nad now it happens even if laptop is "cold" (after power on) so i have no idea what is the problem.
Maybe you can help me somehow!
Regards

exactly right, keep it cooler.
open the sides of the tower to get better airflow.
i do that once in a while & make sure inside your pc is clean, dust can be a killer.
treble41 04-12-2009, 07:16:AM I'm running the game with an Intel onboard graphics card on a laptop so not the best settings but I ran FIFA 09 on it well and PES2010 worked great as well. FIFA 10 is laggy except on low detail. Problem I have is during the videos, animations, replays, etc, it gets super laggy. The gameplay is fine but the in between scenes slow it down, anyone know how to speed that up?
